you guys got the point right at the bullseye. The song, they told us not mess up their tempo, but they themselves is messing with the tempo. But the tempo actually did not change.Technically, it change at the bridge when they started the capella. But you know what I mean. And the vocals, yes. We never had this kind of song in kpop, ever. Not even the capella part. They literally, 'screw background music, we will show you how its done'

Yes, they are very open minded. I recommended the channel to people in the comments of the "Tempo" music video as someone was complaining there about reactors who were going off about their clothes & wearing makeup (Kai's crop top is threatening their masculinity through the screen I guess) and I said these guys don't do that and hope they check them out.

Orangey i think it’s because they included their different styles in the song. For example in the beginning I think it’s Chen who sings that “who-hoo” which is MJ trade mark in his music and then all the parts where the more robotic voice came in is similar to Daft punk’s music and then at the end when they sing in harmony or in acapella refers to the old boy bands in the 90’s since they used to do it in many songs

@@orangey5707 Boyz to Men were THE blueprint for male harmonizing groups. The entire acapella part of Tempo is a direct lift from the Boyz to Men playbook. They singlehandedly brought back the doo-wop acapella sound and modernized it and everyone followed their lead. Michael Jackson and Boyz to Men basically were the adopted godfathers of modern K-pop for male groups. More to the point, "Tempo" is a 90s tribute song all the way.

What I love about kpop videos is the mash-up of different genres, awesome choreo, and stunning visuals. This is probably my favorite reaction of yours...loved how blown away you were by the way the song kept changing up. If you wanna check out another mind blowing video with a ton of musical change ups I urge you guys to check out Girls' Generation "I Got A Boy"! They're legendary and in the same company as EXO. There's a Netflix series called "Explained" and there was an episode devoted to kpop...they even featured "I Got A Boy" and broke down the different genre change ups throughout. Other EXO songs I recommend....I know everyone's gonna say "Monster" so I'm recommending "Overdose" and "Call Me Baby".

Yup they paid homage to mj, daft punk and boyzIImen. Exo fucking did that. I was not disappointed at all.. And what's great was the rap line started off the 1st 2 verses alone and they rarely get lines and exo ended off the Mv. With the vocals their strength (vocal kings, best vocals. In kpop) and that acapella at the end, done I was done.. Best ever.. I don't kno if u guys ever done any exo before but definitely check more of their stuff out. Yes! React to Monster. Monster was my intro to Kpop. I didn't realize there was life beyond Korean OSTs. I was blown away by the choreography, production, vocals, visuals, music composition. Lotto followed it. (also a great mv to watch) Every song is a surprising ride. Gliding through multiple genres in a single song. It is never disconnected. Darn it if EXO didn't ruin kpop for me. There are only a handful of songs outside of EXO I enjoy. From start to end they are amazing!! If you love Tempo, Monster may just make you a die hard fan. EXO debuted in 2012 with 12 members divided in two subgroups; EXO-K(singing in Korean) and EXO-M(singing in Mandarin-Chinese). After three Chinese members left, they are now one group just called EXO(all singing in Korean, Chinese and Japanese). Apart from being in EXO, Lay(the only remaining Chinese member) also has a great solo career. Three of the Korean members(Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin) are also in the subunit EXO-CBX. Ambitious Ace, most Kpop groups are amazing because honestly US artists have gotten lazy. Not saying US artists aren’t talented, but the total product (music, lyrics, mv’s, concerts, dances, etc) of US artists are sub par to the perfectionism and plain hard work of the Kpop culture.
