A lot of people are hating because they’re “copying” babymonster who im a huge fan of, but i really don’t see it😭. If anything they remind me of XG or Exid and im not complaining ☺️.

Personally I was so hyped pre-debut, the dance performance videos were absolutely fire and I wanted full songs of those. But the debut song sounds like something straight from YG. There's also questions on their view counts and the label paying reactors with scripted reactions.

@@Gizmo_Mogwai_ i personally disagree. their songs are definitely not giving YG..in my opinion. maybe the format in the sense of like the dance break at the end with a completely different sound. I think that the thing I like most about BADVILLIAN is there isn’t really another group or label i cant compare them with, other than XG but they still don’t even have the same style that’s just the closest it’ll get though lol. but i respect your opinion ☺️

@@Gizmo_Mogwai_only thing I guess you can say is similar is that they did a dance break at the end but I didn’t know that was only exclusive to YG 😅 because the song definitely doesn’t sound anything like any song BM has made

I don’t see it either because Babymonster doesn’t have a song similar to this whatsoever so when people were saying that, I was so confused 😂 if anything, their similar to XG but that’s kinda pushing it as well

Badtitude is their best song by far.. something Kelis would sing in the early 2000's mixxed with something Timberland would produce... its fire.

Fun fact the choreographers for this group Kany who choreographed maniac by viviz and SM artists. She is also friends with Key. Kasper who did the choreo he is main choreographer for SM especially EXO

Let's be real, a lot of Kpop fans are quite delusional, always thinking their favorite groups are "the only ones doing x" and 99.9% of the time it isn't even remotely true. Music has been around for so long that I bet you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in any genre doing something 100% unique or original. I personally love "BADVILLAIN." Is it the first time someone has rapped over a symphony/orchestra/classical music? No. But I personally don't care about things like that. Songs don't HAVE to be unique or new etc. to be bangers. And I have been listening to "BADVILLAIN" on repeat because it is a juxtaposition that works so incredibly well together and that melody is just crazy good.

Yeah, only the tittle song sounds like it COULD be a YG song. The rest not at all. Agree that they're more on the XG bandwagon than Baemon.

@@luzanacosta839 I will keep my opinions on YG/BaeMon and XG to myself because I am not one of those people who feels the need to share my negative thoughts about other companies/groups. Spreading negativity is pointless and a waste of time. But let's just say I thoroughly disagree. And I personally have never understood people wanting or feeling the need to compare groups/artists/songs. What purpose does it serve? What good comes from doing it? Look at the whole NewJeans/ILLIT drama (the musical/conceptual side of it, not all the other nonsense). At the end of the day, who cares if it is similar? If that happens to be the type of music you (you in general, not you specifically) like, then shouldn't that make you happy? It just makes no sense to me from a listener standpoint. If you like "Badvillain" are you not going to listen to it because it reminds you of "insert song title here?" I mean, you do you if that is the case (again, general you), but seems very bizarre to me if that were the case. And I find it odd that some people seemingly have this idea that YG invented/created x,y, or z, when, again, it's simply not true. They have done nothing that other groups/companies haven't done before them. Yet that is the comparison? I don't get it.

@@SilverArrowsMP it wasn’t a disparaging comparison. Just a point of reference. YG has a particular way of doing music, so much that Sheesh could have been a song given to Blackpink. XG stands out in this particular industry as well. So they too can be a point of reference. Not to say they are copying the groups. Using XG and Babymonster was just a way to illustrate the point that there is no “copying” of Babymonster, as they’ve been accused of. Hope my first comment didn’t sound negative.

They’re under BPM (VIVIZ and Taemin’s company). There are also a lot of known members like Emma from SWF - WANT team, Chloe Kim a choreographer from 1Million and JustJerk, and two contestants from MTG (show that created Class:y): Yunseo and Inhye (Hu’e). They also have another MV called “BADITUDE”!

It will be interesting to see how they progress, being a dance focused group, there will be a lot of open space in their songs because of dance breaks, which isn’t bad but it’s different. I don’t want them to hard left and go the opposite way to be like every other group, I just hope they find the right balance

They could really be something different for sure. We'll have to wait and see but what a damn debut. Choreo is obviously locked in. Raps already locked in. Great concept too I just hope they don't lean too hard on it. That's my only fear. I can tell they have some vocalists so I hope they mix it up. Seems like they have more than enough talent to do a bunch of different things. I'm hype af on this group though. Fingers crossed.

A lot of people have been complaining the debut saying, "oh what is this, this isn't "mirroring" the performance videos, wheres the dance. And its because it's only normal to have this debut in Korea, I think their next comebacks is gonna reflect their performance videos and we'll see more rap and more of that style
