I like how simple the hook is because it shows how you don’t need an overly complicated hook for a song to sound good as well as how it serves to juxtapose the verses, it gives the audience time to breathe lol. The bar that references the movie “Everything Everywhere All At Once” really set the stage for this entire MV. The first Asian woman and the second woman of color in the history of the Oscars to win the Academy Award for Best Actress was in this film, the googly eyes, the Alpha universe along with the intense alternate reality hopping, the themes of enlightenment, breaking boundaries, breaking stereotypes, like I can go on all DAY about how smart everything about this comeback is. I’m glad ppl are giving XG their flowers because they are really making history right now.

The girls won't have writing credits for awhile. I saw a podcast that 1 of the co-producers said it was finished in 2019. So everything released so far was made back in 2019 including New DNA. Jurin said XG has a ton of songs on file so we won't get any body of work from the girls till the file is emptied. Notice how the Official song don't have current pop culture references but the tapes are full of them bc the girls are a part of the tapes but its a sample so they can't get credits unless they are willing to pay royalties which the tapes are just to keep XG recent for the fans. Soooo our only hope is with the ton of songs ready to go. They release a 12 song LP Album consisting of 4 POP, 4 R&B, & 4 HipHop which would crush the industry in a whole. They would chart in 3-4 categories and played in different types of radio stations. Thats just my hopeful thinking. No one knows what Simon has planned for the next 5 years.

Tokyo drift, Haters, work hard, none has any real time date on them or writing credits bc it was already written during training. If you watch xtra xtra ep 8 when they played GRL GVNG they didn't sing to it just groove to the beat bc they didn't know it yet. They can replace some lyrics to add current events but Simon went ham during training and made a lot of songs. In ep 4 during the ATL scene The producers was shocked that songs are made and didn't even have a group yet. That was 2019. XG has imput but currently not with songs bc its already made w/ lyrics. XG just has to record whats ready like GRL GVNG

I felt that this kind of strong approach, which is possible (or rather, rare) in Europe and America, was also emerging in Asia, since they are Japanese, more than a perspective from outside, has a certain meaning. As for cocona, she herself suggested shaving her hair, and her parents approved, as she wanted from an early age. I hope in the future XG will become more involved in the creative process in terms of writing, producing, etc. As of now, Maya is the only member that’s fluent in English, so hopefully she will get opportunities to write some songs if their lyrics will continue to be in English. Hello! A little info on XG for you. Simon Dominic (JAKOPS) in the beginning of the video which is their producer the guy who created XG is a 7 member GLOBAL girl group. They are all Japanese (Harvey is half Australian and Hinata is half Korean i believe), but their company(XGALX) is based in Korea. It's sub label of AVEX Inc. which is Japanese company. They promote like K-Pop groups, but they are NOT K-pop. They are a global group. All their songs are in completely English, except some of their Cyphers. They can rap/sing in English, Japanese, and Korean. Their main language is Japanese but the only one that's really good with English is Maya because she went to school internationally. 4 main rappers and 3 vocalist but as time passes with each new release, it's 7 all rounders (they can all dance). Alphaz is their FANDOM. 언니 (eonni; unnie) Literal meaning: “older sister” Is also used to call: A female friend or a female sibling who's older than you (as a female) Used by: A younger female to call an older female or sibling.
