I love how pedestrian her alt mode is, even for a wacky Armada space vehicle. I think it's cause they substituted Scavenger's honking Constructicon green for some normal colours. I can just imagine her looking up from her wee building site to see [insert whatever the hell happens in the Energon cartoon here] and going "Aw fuck. Rollbar, you come away fae that son, it's dangerous"

the gimmickry was neat, but i wish we had gotten a "proper" action figure of the armada scavenger/energon treadbolt design in addition to the gimmick brick.

Armada Sceverger and Energon Treadbolt are the only Transformers figures I know of that have a manual walking gimmick. I have Scavenger and i really like him.

Can't wait for the Toyfu stream. Plus great review. It's a bit of a weird choice, but it's pretty nice with the big hands. She's very gimmick heavy, but she carries it so well. Plus the robot mode is so strong

What makes her Mini-Con partner Rollbar (also known as Hound but let's just call him Hound) special from his mold template Rollbar is that he is a minor retool of him. The Rollbar figure lacks the Mini-Con symbol while Hound has it on his remolded leg. So Hound is a unique little Mini-Con

i managed to snag a junky armada scavenger a while back, this just makes me want to complete the poor sod. surprisingly, all the gimmicks still worked, even after almost twenty years! hasbro really weren’t slouches when it came to battery-operated stuff back then.

Ever since you posted this review Treadbolt was on my radar but then I saw Scavenger at the toyfu table at TF Nation for like £15 or something and leapt at it. Such a fun goofy thing. A proper brick of a toy that has loads of fun packed into it. I'm missing the missile but I can live without that. Need to get some batteries in there too.

Well... Treadbolt here toy wise isn t the best what Energon or Armada had to offer. But not gonna lie, I LOVE the robot mode desighn, and would love to see it again in new form. Plus you think armada minions had limited articulation? Them go check RID2015 ones, them you will start to appreciate armada ones more....

She's a big gorl. So glad I recently found one complete for $30 USD. I remember getting a $1 junker Armada Scavenger as a kid and I loved that thing. Gimmicks here are queen for her and I love that for her; too much enjoyment!

This is what you gotta do with Transformers I guess; either make the only gimmick their transformation, or absolutely stuff it to the scoop with gimmicks. Just one little gimmick isn't enough. Seeing the gimmicks on display genuinely made me smile, I love how absurd this toy looks. And here I was yesterday being over the moon about Kingdom Cyclonus having light piping!

Because of the minicon I think she’s from transformers armada not energon, the energon toys had a tube where you could place a energon badge to that tube, I know because I had both an armada and energon hotshot back during my childhood.

Treadbolt is amongst a Myriad of transformers who where retroactive -made female thanks to the lack of gendered pronouns in thier original bio.- Edit: poor treadbolt never had a bio until 2015, which means she's always been a fembot.
