A G1 story where Transformers get stuck, unable to transform? Where do they come up with these crazy ideas?

I'll tell you a good story. It's called "Grunkle Stunkle Wins The Funkle Bunkle".

Good to see Repugnus getting more screentime. His contributions really elevated this video to the status of high art.

The fact that the final lines of all G1 media are "The future holds only conflict and mayhem! It never ends!" is delicious. I love Transformers as silly but nevertheless melancholy tragedy.

This certainly has me a bit more excited for Carnivac's apparent return next year as a TR Weirdwolf retool. I hope they fix the fragile door. These annual reviews are always a treat, even without having finished the comics!

i hear you say the videos on the annuals dont get much traction, but i love em. i always enjoy these little looks into this pocket of the transformers franchise, it’s so far removed from what i can access in my place and time, and it’s hardly a lore focal point for the chris mcfeelys of the world to elaborate about, but i really value this insight into a different place, a different time, a different culture, it’s a special window to me.

This video is 11 minutes and 57 seconds long, in case you were wondering. And as an owner of a couple of those Macross VF-31s, they're are top-notch toys, well worth the hefty price tag.

I enjoy that aesthetic in which some of the battle masks are drawn with a cloth like, form fitting quality. You get an intimation of a mouth underneath. Wild stuff.

I was a fan of Simon Coleby, even more so when he drew some of the stories in Overkill later. It's not gonna stop me cashing in if this annual really is worth a bunch on ebay though

I too would like some elaboration on the existence of an unofficial comic adaptation of a prose story.

Carnivac’s story was my favourite as a kid. I feel like it should surly have inspired BW Dinobot. I wish I could find my old annuals. I feel like i may have got rid of them at some point. I must raid my parents house at some point.

I should try and track down some Combat Colin, that stuff looked brill.
@thepartworkscomicsreader94882 ай бұрын
Lew Stringer has the Combat Colin rights and puts out a series of saddle stitched collections through his eBay store and at conventions. Not everything currently in print, book 6 due next year should get to the end of the Transformers UK content and a reprint of book 1 with the earliest material from Action Force is due at some point. A potential seventh volume would have the convention material from after the Transformers era. Handful of strips not included due to using Marvel characters, Doctor Doom and some obscure aliens that had been Fantastic Four or Avengers characters originally.
