I got my c6 about a month ago. I love it! I’ve been using the Peloton app with it, and the only drawback I see is that I’m not included on the leaderboard, which is fine with me. I still get the engaging instructors and guidance. The other thing to consider if you use the Peloton app with the c6 is that the levels are not the same. So if the instructor says, “increase resistance to level 25,” you have to convert it to the equivalent c6 level. I just put a small conversion chart under the display, and I’m good. And if the screen (my iPad) craps out, I still have a fully functioning bike. I’ve been so happy with the c6 paired with the Peloton app, and I love that I paid so much less than if I got the Peloton bike!

Awesome review!! I just ordered the C6...I don’t like being locked in with only using the peloton app...with the C6 I can use different apps. I appreciate all the details you discussed..you hit on points I didn’t think of! I love the peloton digital app and want to get into spinning and the C6 allowed me to do this at a fraction of the price and I still get the guidance. Thank you for this review

@@marcelagarnica7076 It's a great bike for the $$$. Well built, good looking and you're not locked into a specific platform (think Peloton or NordicTrack). You also don't need an internet connection to use it, if you don't want to, you can ride it and just use the included electronic monitor. Glad I got it. Recommended.

The Bowflex C6 Bike is a good bike. I have one and when it worked it was great. However when it breaks good luck getting parts from Nautilus which owns Bowflex. Going on now 2 months with the bike down because they can't get a belt. If you can't afford a Peloton then I understand it's expensive. But if you can, then get the Peloton. Better service and If the bike breaks down, they will fix it in a week, and they have all of the parts in the USA. Not some warehouse in China that takes over two months to get a part.

Just ordered my C6 today. Plan on using the Peloton app, but my only concern is "cadence", I hear that's important for Peloton classes. Any thoughts. Would I need a cadence sensor?
@TreadmillReviewGuru3 жыл бұрын
The C6 bike computer displays time, calories, speed, distance, cadence (RPM), levels, and pulse (heart rate).You won't need a separate cadence sensor. We hope you love your bike! The Peloton app is currently being offered free for the first two months! This promotion ends Jan 31st, so we recommend signing up for the free 2-month trial by Jan 31st even if your bike hasn't arrived yet.

New to these bikes but NOT to stationary exercise equipment. We had stationary bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals onboard the aircraft carriers I have served on in the past. Ordered the C6 over the Peloton, due mainly to cost, last night. After reading comments for this video about military discounts I called and inquired today to confirm. And, although they now only offer a 15% discount vice the 30% from earlier this year I cancelled my prior order and reordered with the updated 15% price. Now I am anxiously awaiting January 4th for it to ship (hopefully) as well as looking for first-timer bike shoes. Any suggestions? Need a mat for the bike as well. Thanks - Bill.

What is the 15% and 30% discount about? Is it for existing bowflex owner?
@edl63493 жыл бұрын
I know the Peloton is more expensive and you are locked in to the app. So I am torn because while I like my Bowflex C6, it's no good if the bike is broken and can't be ridden. All of the benefits and advantages of the C6 got out the door because Nautilus has supply chain problems getting parts to fix their bikes. A belt shouldn't take two plus months to order.

I don't need a bunch of bells and whistles. I ordered the C6. I will listen to some music while I ride it. I don't think you mentioned it, but I guess both bikes are belt driven? A chain is probably more durable. I ordered the more comfortable seat but maybe that wasn't necessary?
@TreadmillReviewGuru2 жыл бұрын
Yes, both bikes use a belt drive. You'll be hard-pressed to wear out the belt. New belt drives have roughly the same longevity as a chain and they are considerably quieter and don't require maintenance. An upgraded seat never hurts.

Does bike make sense to someone who already have elliptical machine? I am debating whether to add a bike or a rower to my home gym.
@TreadmillReviewGuru3 жыл бұрын
Yes - Either a bike or rower would provide a nice, low-impact option even if you have an elliptical. The movement patterns are different, so you'll work different muscles. I'd choose whichever one you think you'll use more. Bikes tend to be a bit more popular than rowers - not because they are more functional, but the movement pattern is familiar to people so they feel comfortable on a bike.
@SuziRider5D2 жыл бұрын
Almost ANY Bike seat is NOT comfortable at first for those not used to them! It takes a few weeks, if not more. C6/iC4 Seat is more like a mens/unisex road bike seat than your typical stationary bike seat; 150cm/5-3/4" wide for around 120-135 cm sit-bones, which may be too narrow for women with wide hip bones or larger-boned men, size 36" waist pants and up. With my road bike, I have narrow 120cm sit-bones & went through 8 seats before I found a good one (Selle SMP Hybrid Gel) that didnt rub me the wrong way when in a forward‐leaning position; the slot goes all the way to the nose of the seat to minimize front pressure. Selle seat for mtn bikes is slightly wider for those with 140cm sit-bones. The tilt angle is important for ladies, since raising or lowering the nose 1/8" (2-3mm) can make a big difference. The old guys in my road bike club said "the difference between a bad seat and a great seat is 1,000 miles". That translates to about 60+ hours on a stationary bike.

@TreadmillReviewGuru2 жыл бұрын
From what we understand the C7 is essentially the same bike as the C6, just with an attached monitor on the front. So it comes down to which you prefer, monitor or not monitor. One thing we like about not having a monitor is that you can use your own tablet or just put the bike in front of a TV.
