It was interesting to see the Thunderbird hotel is still there. I stayed there in 1961 with my family and again in 1976.

First time I have seen an American bathroom with a window! I went to Treasure Island in the 80s and it still looks very similar. I love that it hasn't been over developed. Cheers xx

You captured a beautiful sunset. I felt your excitement seeing the dolphins in the bay leaping out. I really have enjoyed these videos. The hotel was really nice, & for $80.00 a night, that is well worth enjoying the area you are in. There was a lot to do, & see there. The fishing boats, the seagulls. I loved seeing a Pelican.

We saw your livestream a couple of weeks ago when you were at the motel when we were planning to go down to Florida and we decided to stay at the same motel! A week after you were there we we there! We stayed in room 12 on second floor. The owner was very friendly and the room was beautiful and very clean! The pool was very warm! The only problem is the parking lot near the rooms is very small and I got some damage to my car when backing out. Other than that everything was great! Thanks again for showing everyone this great motel! John's Pass looks like a great place. Didn't have time to go there. Maybe next time! Great video! Again our condolences on the loss of your father. Our prayers are with you!

Will and Dawn - so glad you enjoyed your time in my neck of the woods. I live north of Treasure Island in the Clearwater/Palm Harbor area. We have great beaches also, but Treasure Island is amazing. You were lucky to get the Dolphins in action. How fun. Really enjoyed this vlog. Thanks for sharing.

I love the little mom and pop places. That hotel appears to be super super clean. If I'm ever out that way, that would definitely be a place I would consider staying. Love this part of Florida! My mom’s family lives in Tampa and Newport Richey, we would stay on summer vacation sometimes at Madeira Beach and visit John’s Pass, even took the dolphin tour once. Loved the Friendly Fisherman restaurant and ice cream shops. My favorite stores were the goat milk soap store and jewelry stores.

That motel room is cute!!! Looks like a great place to stay! Once in Tampa when I was around 9 years old we were on vacation there - I walked out to the beach and saw wet sand (right on the water's edge) being sucked in to something underneath. I put my hand in there, and immediately felt something grab it, and it was not letting go! I pulled my hand up to find a round-ish, basketball-sized snail stuck on it. I put my hand right into the thing, and it closed up around my hand! My parents had to help me get it off - and then of course I put it right back where I found it. So, don't go stickin' your hand deep into the sand if you don't know what's living under it!

We live about an hour north of Johns Pass and go there several times a year. You're very blessed to see dolphins jump! You oughta do a review of the Boardwalk Grill next time. It's a small hole in the wall cafe with fabulous food! The lobster roll & shrimp Po Boy are worth the drive! An hour & a half east & you could meet up with Adam the Woo at Celebration!

Beautiful! I collect shells every time we go to the beach. I put them in huge cleat glass containers & decorate our picnic pavilion with them. Dolphins are my favorite. Our son took us out for my birthday one time & dolphins were all around our boat, even babies. We turned the boat motor off so they wouldnt get caught in the outboard motor.
