YG has their faults but one of the things I love about the company is how much they nurture their artists to create their own music for the most part. Every group has at least 1 member and usually more than 1 who writes music. Members who were interested in producing were able to take lessons about it. Several of them have their own studios in the YG building. GD, during his training, had to write lyrics for homework every day or every week. I love this for all of them as artists bc their real thoughts and experiences can be expressed, like Hold It In is written by Hyunsuk about his real life break up. Rosé's album is filled with her real thoughts. AKMU, Kang Seungyoon, iKON are all excellent at writing their own music. And GD is just a master of writing. I'm glad Asa of BM is also starting on the path.

I always love how YGE literally teaches their artist to be an All-rounder group. Training wise, for me YGE is the best... They always create groups that can stand alone. They have the freedom to be who they want to be as an artist and even grow outside "music" . Being a YGA has it's pros and cons, I mean there's no perfect agency ... and that sucks hahahaha
