Agree, one of the beauties of Natasas channel is that she almost always uses items from around the home rather than commercial things. I dont mind seeing commercial items occasionally but id hate to see the channel becoming commercialised in that way .​@@plan4life

Hi Natasha! I have so many thoughts. Bare with me. First, thank you for showing us Banjo❤ I love him and I would watch paw and petting videos anytime❤ he’s too cute! Next, I need this case in my life. The only good case I have for this is my only case for emergency hospital stays etc. I regret not finding another one sooner. Its the perfect size texture. I am stuck sick often on the couch and don’t craft much because I don’t have a portable system. I need one for painting/drawing/stamping and crochet too! Iv been meaning to make a needle book for years. I mean, you put everything in there but a mini sewing machine lol. I bet a hand held one would fit in the other case! You make it look easy. Next: Grabie boxes. I love these. The things you showed us, sigh. All these subscription boxes are a dream including the Taperology, etc you have shown us. Wish I could try them out but our exchange rate is brutal. We miss out on the fun stuff in Canada when it comes to subscriptions, and supplies. Idk why we have skant pickings. I do have a tip for metallic watercolors. I have 4 brands now and all behave this way. You need to add drops of water to your pans before use, and let them sit for a while. All of them are like this for best results. The water will make the paint turn to a consistency where you can lay it on thick or thin. As opposed to scraping with a brush to get pigment (mica). Also, layered over other colors, they stand out more especially black. They can be used on fabric too, and will stick to chalk paint acrylic, magazine paper. And glycerine can be a good medium too as well as egg yolks too for egg tempera. If you want to guild. I am using dollar store ones and by wetting pans first, I am shocked that they behave nearly as good as my expensive Coliro, and CSY Gallery watercolors. Kuretaki is not bad either. But dollar store ones surprised me. I went back and got 3x packs at $2. It took me 5 years to get these brands overall. I waited for sales. They all look washed out at first glance, but by shifting paper u see the mica shining. They look best over images, other colors or black paper. They do not have a thick guilding capability like Pebeo guilding wax does. However, your mini watercolors are very good. I do not have a good set yet. I finished them ages ago and now, its well over $140 for a set. Iv looked into making my own watercolors. Its a relaxing process. But I was going to try the Himi gouache paints instead. You get alot of paint for a reasonable price.

Such an inspiration I actually have 4 bags that I have had from a previous business and they have been sitting brand new taking up space, this is the best idea for these, thank you. You might wanna take a poke tool, maybe some index cards, some wipes to wipe glue, maybe a “sample” of thread(in case you need to sew on a tab or something) , book pages, q-tips could help blend just a couple to take and envelopes. Banjo is a handsome boy I can’t believe it’s been almost a year already I remember when you first got him, he’s so lucky to have you and your family.❤❤ Enjoy your holiday getaway and can’t wait to see how you use all your things. Just don't forget you can't take some items such as scissors, craft knife, snips, needles, awl etc on planes in your hand luggage, if you were travelling, so you'd have to either put them in your suitcase you check in, or buy them at destination. What a fun idea, love it! This would make a lovely gift as well! Several years ago I made my granddaughter a journal and printed out photos from the summer she spent with us and she had so much fun going through my craft room stash (and did a beautiful , creative job!) decorating, writing in it and adding her choice of the photos. I have two bags for traveling. One for paper crafts and the other strictly for hand sewn embellishments and embroidery type stuff. I take whatever bag I’m drawn to at the time, but haven’t recorded using what I take. I actually took my tripod to record on our last trip, but didn’t feel like recording, so, yes, I would like to see you create on your holiday. When I get home, I keep the bag packed and either add to, or take away depending on what I used/didn’t use on the last trip. In my paper crafting bag, I like to add index cards, tags, playing cards for ATC’s and bases like that to decorate instead of a journal, but may try a journal next time. I have to be honest, I’ve taken it on trips before and used nothing. It’s hard to decide sometimes whether I want to read a good book or craft. Sometimes reading wins over crafting because I do it so much, I feel like I need a vacation from it. Anyway, thank you for sharing! And Hi, Banjo! I love that you are so relaxed and loved in your new home. Such a good boy. ❤

Would love to see how you create while on vacation, in your journal! Of course not the private stuff, but page layouts before journaling perhaps?!this kit is very inspiring. I’ve seen one other person do something similar. Very practical. But I love how yours isn’t just functional, but it’s beautiful! I enjoyed this video so much and absolutely love your wonderful ideas! Please do film snippets of you using your junk journal travel kit, that will be such a fun video. The only thing I noticed that you may want to add, is a clear stamp block for your stamps, maybe a thin one if you have it, otherwise you have everything you need, have a fun and relaxing holiday! Also, thank you for sharing your moment with Banjo for us, you can truly tell how much he is loved and how secure he now feels with you and your family. We also have a rescue pup and we named her Ellie, they are the best!

HELLO NATASHA, ❤ MY NAME IS TORRI. I HAVE A SUGGESTION; Did you know that you can make cloth/fabric stiff using water mixed with little bit of sugar? This makes it easy to draw on the fabric with whatever u want. Maybe you can try it out and make a video for all of us devoted fans! ❤❤❤ U are a very talented person. Your kit is very comprehensive. I don’t think there will be many situations where you don’t have enough of a variety of embellishments to create a gift tag, greeting card, scrapbook page, or other gift to use in some other project. I always enjoy your videos.

I Love this project, Natasa! Great idea! A few years ago I went away for a week (driving), and took some art supplies in a bag, nothing as fancy as this. I don't have plans to travel again any time soon, but who knows! My cosmetic bag (for travel) is about 20 years old and I love it, so I'll have to find another one at a thrift shop to make into a traveling art kit. I was laughing to see you're only taking 2 pairs of scissors; I have some for fabrics, for paper, for cutting sticky things like tape, for trimming before I've let the glue dry, small snips for sewing and some for cutting stickers apart.... about 12 pr. all together!!! I guess I'd have to narrow down to 2-3 pr for traveling, though. Hee hee! Yse, I would love to see some videos of your travel journal in progress! I think you've covered everything for your needs-oh, what about a bone folder? Though I suppose you can use the ruler for that. I use brushes and coffee stirring sticks to spread my glue out; when I've left it in a line (or bead) before, that can show through on the paper as bumps. I also use Q-tips a lot to wipe up excess glue, also a clean rag to rub over whatever I've glued to help it adhere. Great stickers that you chose to take! I always glue mine down, I don't trust the stickum on the backs to last a long time. As for those with white borders, I tend to fussy cut those away. I love that you added some stickers, beads, & ribbon to the travel pouch itself, great idea. Where are you going for vacation? Sounds like you may be gone for a few weeks. Yay for you! Have a ball! I find your videos simultaneously, soothing, entertaining and inspiring. I just purchased your book. I dabble in a lot of different artistic outlets, but have never made a Treasure Book! I think we are soul sisters. Over the years I have literally “gathered” some of the same bits n bobs and papers, etc… Looking forward to applying your techniques and advice. Finding you has validated my years of buying things and using them in non-intended (by the manufacturer) ways. I feel less alone in the world When I now know thinking about cutting apart a cereal box or milk carton, or saving a cap for mark making is NOT a disorder🎉 😂 And that, is priceless! I love little compact things in compartmented bags and you have made them all beautiful! If I carried all that I thought I’d needed on a ‘craft journey’...I’d have to have a semi truck to carry it😣 You make whatever you can as far as videos go because I’ll watch whatever you do!
