Very interested to see the inside of the Lucerne! It looks pretty cool, nice details and very vintage style. Great video Mark!

Thanks Fred. The Lucerne is in pretty nice shape for sure. I am looking forward to getting the exact age from the movement.

The small chain or pocket watch looks very nice

The Lucerne is quite the time piece for sure. Here is hoping that it will live again.

I mean who doesn't like Breguet style hands like on that ecosse watch. I love that decoration on the Nivada movement. Fun video as always take care greetings from Sweden!

As I said before, some of these really cheap watch brands such as ecosse do have some nice styling, but the build quality and materials are horrible.....I will keep the hands for future projects. 😊

I think you said you were going to change the buckle on the Nivada watch strap from gold to stainless (to match the silver case). I would be interested to see how you would do that if you could show it in a video. I agree that it is a nice looking watch and the brown leather strap looks good on it.

Yes, of course I can show that. I will have something posted this week on the buckle change. Thanks for your comments and ideas.

Hey Mark, does that Ronald McDonald watch fit into the empty case that was in the bag?
@steadyjumps9 ай бұрын
Hi Robert, if you mean the black case then definitely no. The size is completely off. I am hoping to find out more information about this watch. I am interested in what the case may be.

That Ronald McDonald watch/clock looks to be a signature piece from Bradley. They did scores of character watches ranging from Disney characters to fast food chains and beyond. I've worked on a couple Bradley movements and they almost always have a BFG 866 movement inside, especially if it says Swiss Made. If it's as I think, the dial will be screwed in from the front, and the design is actually just a clear sticker over a white painted brass plate. Really cheap stuff mostly meant for kids, but that also means in good shape they can be worth decent money.

I'm also curious now if that case goes to said Ronald McDonald watch.

Thanks for the comment. My very first watch was a Mickey Mouse watch made by Bradley. Now that you mentioned it I bet you are right about the manufacturer. I will let you know once I open it up for inspection. What blows my mind is that these watches were for children and here we are 50 years later and they still work. BTW, I still have my 1975 Bradley Mickey Mouse watch.....first watch I ever restored. 😊
