the SS hubcaps. The wheel diameter might help with the ID. You mention Impala, Chevelle and Malibu, but don’t forget that Chevy also had SS variants of Camaro, Nova, El Camino and even the Corvair. The smaller cars would have had 14/15” rims, while larger had 16”.

Absolutely understand what you mean abut the trashiness of this sale... For some reasons the dirtiness of auto stuff does not bother me at all but the other stuff does give me a little more trepidation. :) The hub caps I would have jumped at all day long. Like you said the less desirable ones or even a little damaged still could be a man cave decoration. for $10 + Love this haul! Good stuff!

Yeah that sale was definately a rough one, glad that you did managed to find some things though. I recently went to a thrift store& things were damaged/dirty& after looking though I actually found stuff. Alot of patience is required at times& soap& water-I went to my car where I keep a small travel pack with soap& I always have water bottles, needless to say I wasn't leaving with my hands with dirt on them.

Over the years I’ve cleared out many places like that, back when I worked part time with a local auction house. My job was usually to set up the old barns and out buildings, making up auction lots. Always a challenge to find value.

Worst part was when I asked him prices he got out his phone and started looking prices up online and giving me those prices. I did a lot of picking this weekend. I got a vintage Coleman lantern for $2.50 and it should sell for $100+. Today I picked up 13 Motorola 2 way radios along with a high end DC power supply and a ham radio repeater for $100. I'm expecting to profit $800+ on those. Also, got a Walkman wm-f10ll for $3. That should sell for $60+ (parts only). This was one of my best weekends ever!

Those SS hubcaps are 60's and probably of a Malibu or Nova. They should have a code stamped on the back somewhere to identify.

You need to travel to West Virginia during the WVA state fair. I think everyone in WVA and Virginia set up. Also,in August they have a Fall Festival in CF. Nothing much downtown but lots of yard sales off of Exit 27. You can’t miss it. Dates are 10-15,16 & 17. (CF=Clifton Forge).
