I found this very informative. I have a tumor in my right kidney 4.5cm x 4cm x 5cm. It apparently is in the middle of my kidney and September 2 I will be having robotic assisted surgery for a full nephrectomy. My left kidney appears healthy except for a small cyst that the doctor seem to not be worried about. Again, thank you for this information.

@@bmike7310 the surgery went well. They only took half my right kidney and got the entire tumor out. Even after surgery the doctor was sure it was cancer. Two weeks later, labs cam back as NOT CANCER!!! he told me the odds of a tumor this size on a kidney not being cancer are astronomical. I’m fully recovered. Thanks for asking.

Hello. I read that you said your surgery went well. Mine is scheduled for 3/27. Its on my right too. How were you during your recovery? Any suggestions? After I recover, I have to have surgeries on my left kidney. 2 kidney stones there. sigh
