Rob thanks for another great video. I did have difficulty hearing all the conversation when you guys were in the pasture. A second microphone or even just stand closer to each other when talking may help. I had never heard or seen meds administered via a gun. Didn't look to fun for the cattle but it got the medication delivered. Best wishes 😂

Yeah sorry about that the wind picked up and I had trouble staying close! I should definitely get a microphone. Honestly, on a day like that, as hot as it was, a quick shock and a prick from the gun would be far more fun for the cattle than rounding them all up and running them through the chute for just two animals. It’s a great, stress free way to get medication in and the animals getting healthy fast.

Rob as always you have your animals welfare as your top priority. I never doubted your use of specific equipment to get the necessary medication into the animals that need it. I have very limited knowledge and even less experience when dealing with farm animals particularly large animals like bovine. As always thank you for your videos. Best wishes 😊

This video was helpful, thanks for sharing. We’re in Caney, Kansas and just bought five mama red Angus cows and here nearing the end of June experiencing first of highs and upper 90s and bad flies and pink eye in a couple of our mama cows and don’t have a clue what to do. We’re going to get, a pistol gun like yours soon as we can Monday tomorrow morning. Great information!

❤️🐄🐂 Since you can get so close couldn't you just give them a shot with a traditional syringe? But I don't know anything about cows and medicine. Thanks for your videos. 😊

Good question! They definitely won’t stand still for an injection lol. I have tried this before and only got half an injection in before they ran away. Even with my 4 foot pole syringe where I can stand back a bit the cows won’t give me enough time to get a whole dose on board. The gun is a lifesaver!

@@WR_Ranch 😮Wow they seem so tame but I guess they have their limits lol. It's so fun to see how you can move them around and graze them on such little areas.. Very cool. 😁. Once we get our Republic back and more people can afford some small farms you can help educate how to raise those nice animals! 🙏🐂❤️😉

I am having a problem with the dart not sticking. I am preparing the dart as required and using the gun as described. What am I doing wrong?

Interesting. I know there are two types of needles. Grit blasted and smooth? Which one are you using? Is it injecting any medication at all? The dart doesn’t have to stay in the animal as long as all the meds get pushed in. And what power setting are you using?
