I loved this, as someone who had this SB mentality of just non stop grinding and transferring it into my academics, I just loved how you explained this and how relatable this was as well as how amazing of an advice this was

Me personally I would constantly remind myself of the future that I would want to live. I would write down the school I would be in, the grade I would have, what kind of people would surround me, everything. And every morning after i wake up and before I sleep I read it. I know it might be overkill but if I don't do that I'll be constantly distracted by other things in my life thus losing focus on the one thing that I care about. Hope this helps!

@@sh2nu1ee no no that's not an overkill, I do that too sometimes. I'm a good student, recently gave an entrance exam, which went well, now I have other exams in may, and currently I might not be using my full potential and that scares me and idk why is it that I lose the fire within me soon even tho ik how imp this is for me. Anyways thanks for your time and advice!

So, you had fun in highschool Cuz, games ... (Im sorry, i went to game dev school in hs/college (did TSA game dev and had/run a game dev club/class in highschool, then majored in game dev in college (granted, i did more web dev by the end and ended up working as a software engineer at a bank))

(also as a former game dev major in college who did indie games & college game journalism and a shit ton of game jams, not every game has to be "fun", they just have to have meaningful choices with win and lose states)

this vid is absolutely bonkers. one thing ill say ab the ADHD thing is that the symptoms it is characterized by happen to be also brought on by excessive technology consumption. this has led to an increased(edit:decreased) normalization of the curve, where if one end is hyperactive adhd and the other is an intense ocd, the entire curve is becoming more biased toward the adhd side. this, combined w the destigmitation of mental health treatment, has led to increased diagnosis levels and subsequent shortages of the meds used to treat it. its less that everybody has adhd, and more that the vast majority of people are acquiring/worseing some of the previously nonexistent/already present symptoms. people w adhd before all of this went on now have even more severe symptoms, and people without it are presenting subclinical symptoms, leading to the belief that "everybody has ADHD". as someone with ADHD that didnt get on social media/video games until much later in life, the condition has affected everything ive experienced up until this point, and the meds I got from my diagnosis have increased my gpa an entire grade point and the strategies mentioned in the video have just come naturally. i understand that it can be brute forced with the right mindset, but if someone is truly shackled with debilitating ADHD symptoms, meds will make being in that 1% of people that much easier.

I'm going to show this video to my mom. She tells me to study and to get get a job and to stop pouring 7 hours of Hypixel Skyblock every single day. They do not understand... They do not get the divinity of Hypixel's magnum opus. This masterpiece is realer than real life! Why study maths when you can just do bazaar flipping? Why get a job when you can -scam lil kids with market manipulation- mine glass to become a millionaire? Why pay taxes when... well I guess you cannot avoid taxes in either worlds. But little do they know that I have -been ratted- macros! Jokes aside you cannot justify your 12843 hours of playtime on hypixel. But positive thing about skyblock is that it unironically taught me about collateral (yes I did not know what it was before I got scammed my flower of truth), market graphs for the bazaar and work ethic

Good video man, but I have a few arguments that could be made. - This approach only works if people even have the ability to achieve tier 10 willpower. Willpower is both innate and learned. Many people sit around the average willpower of like 5. You say don't set unrealistic goals, but if these motherfuckers with tier 5 willpower try an approach that requires tier 10 willpower you really think they're gonna stick around and implement this ideal? That's like saying, "Oh let me kill the ender dragon in skyblock with Hardened Diamond Armor" like ggs bro youre getting stat checked to China. - Humans tend to undermine their strengths when talking about their journey and I feel like you severely underestimate your ability to "lock in" compared to the average human. Your unwavering resolve is not something that everyone has, and you have to realize that while some of that resolve can be achieved through discipline, you also have that internal hunger in your to better yourself. Lotta people don't. - You put heavy emphasis on social recognition but all of my friends who got into top 10 schools + Ivies could care less about social recognition. They tend to care more about genuine connections rather than having the average person look at them and go, "woahh this guy is so cool!". When people in skyblock flock to the superior dragon set, the one with the armor often ponders if they're sought after for their merit or who they are as a person. Same thing in real life. "Are you my friend because you like me as a person or because you want something from me that you don't have?" - Skyblock can be played in different ways, and this speaks to the archtypes in humans. When I played skyblock, I focused on farming, building, and fishing. This method applies to like the "grinder" type but if you tell someone who likes to build to speedrun the game of skyblock so they can get superior dragon armor then do you really think the builder is going to continue playing if they don't have fun? Humans derive enjoyment from doing different things. I agree with a lot of the things you said, especially about working hard and long enough to increase your luck surface area. That's a fire quote. But you're also just yapping bro. But also, it looks like you're just trying to sell courses to dumb people and if that's the grindset then shii who am I to hate on a man tryna get a bag? Best of luck to you broskie.

Really really appreciate you taking the time to leave critical feedback on my video, I'm super grateful. The points you make stand and I couldn't agree more. There are two sides of a coin they say. But don't worry about courses, any course I'm giving out will be completely free 😂
