Just curious, what decade did they start introducing Metformin and 2nd line drugs? Up until recently I thought only insulin was used. Also, I agree Diabetes education is a good first step. It gives you the basic vocabulary to then do further research on the condition.

+shygirlnow2011 insulin is only used first line in type 1 diabetes. For type 2,insulin is possibly the last resort after all the oral agents have been tried or used in combination with oral tablets
