I have a 12 1/2 year old golden and he has been suffering from yeast infection. I am very disappointed with my vet as she just prescribed steroids and antibiotics and made me buy expensive dog food twice and it didn’t fix my dogs problem..I have been at this for months and doing my own research and have learned so much and your clip was very helpful. I am now looking for another vet that can help me fix my poor dogs problem as he is so unhappy..I will definitely look into getting his thyroid checked and his gut. I have changed his diet to a raw food and did all my research and I do see a little change but it has only been a couple of days. I will be updating you on his progress soon. Thank you so much for your information it was so helpful

thanks Carmen. You must treat this from the gut by healing leaky gut, using herbs and supplements to reduce the yeast and add in pre and probiotics in a proper balance. Also reduce all stress, chemicals and other vaccines and parasite products to help heal the gut health. Remove sugary fruits and veggies, grains and ALL processed foods including so called grain free. Raw organic meats and greens plus good fats should be the basis for the diet. It will take at least 3 months. Please email me at lyndall.pinchen@gmail.com if you need more specifics. Very frustrating!!! Warm regards Lyndall CV and HHD

I had a female Australian Shepherd that had several bad bacterial intestinal infections as a young dog from eating mulch, etc. She had to be given antibiotics both times and got a horrible yeast infection all over her body. Her poor but looked like a red baboon but. No hair at all. I didn't know what it was though. Her vet kept saying it was allergies and gave her steroids. I struggled with this for 2 years. The 3rd time he suggested steroids, I refused and researched it until I found an example of another dog with the same symptoms. It was yeast infection. I was reading that you had to do a cleanse, and lots of bathing, etc. I did none of that. Probiotics alone cured her pretty quickly. Within a week the red and black blotches on her belly were fading and within a month her hair was well on its way to growing back. I have kept all my dogs on probiotics most of the time since. Recently I ran out of Probiotics for my current Aussie and he has been getting frequent yeasty ears. The antifungal wash gives him relief but once I got him back on probiotics the problem has not returned.

My poor dog has been through it since I decided the program is over. Yes the NSA program that nsa scum get kickbacks for having pets go to vets for problems(not major) they caused. Now all the vets are pissed because they can’t get very rich easy,.meanwhile there’s a task force identifying these scumbags. Don’t be surprised if some young thug shoots them in their leg. They’ll get arrested but bailed out and the case dropped.

Now she has a yeast infection and the vet just treated her for allergies. What’s a good food for her? Is there something I can cook to feed her and help her immune system? Thank you!

thanks Jeffrey. It's important to avoid feeding any processed foods and any grains. Also avoid starchy veggies like carrots and pumpkin. Cooking proteins like (organic) meats, fish and eggs along with nice leafy green veggies is a good start. Add in a small amount of apple cider vinegar and some good oils such as MCT oil or hemp seed oil. This diet is very antiinflammatory and antifungal. Consider also antifungal ingredients such as herbs and caprylic acid. For more info feel free to email me at lyndall.pinchen@gmail.com. Warm regards Lyndall CV and HHD

Taking starch out of the diet can help. My dog is on Acana fish with no starch. I add freshly cooked green beans/broccoli finely chopped with a fresh raw egg and a teaspoon of flax seed oil for his breakfast. His dinner is the kibble with more finely chopped veggies and a third of a tin of sardines in olive oil. His has improved greatly using this after a 6 week homeopathic and probiotic protocol.

I am using an over the counter yeast infection like a foot fungus cream that women use or you mostly used for feet lotrimin is what I have now but am going to town to my local pharmacy to get the one that starts with a C i cannot remember the name vet said to get at the foot fungus cream section. My dog has yeasty skin as well and I am washing her with some diluted applecider vinegar and a good PH vaginal wash for PH lol. You have to do what you need to do. I cannot afford 200 dollars for meds for the entire Summer for her. I am also feeding her good blueberry greek yogurt for her gut. Let me know how it goes and I will let you know as well. She is on a zero grain diet with Salmon or Lamb being successful for her gut usually. I told her dad NO MORE ICECREAM. LOL sugar is not good for doggies.

Hello! Thank you for this video! My pup is currently 4yo and has been on a "Grain Free" diet and taking Apoquel pretty much his whole life after our initial vet said he had seasonal allergies. I'm seeing now that he clearly has a Yeast issue from always licking his paws and having yeast in his ears every couple of months. I want to fully remove him from the Apoquel and start to get his immune system back strong again. I have added Tumeric, Kale, BlueBerries, and eggs to his new diet. With limiting the amount of Kibble and adding in these natural super foods is this a good start to building his gut health back and fighting the yeast back to normal? Thank you!
@HappyHealthyDogs
@HappyHealthyDogs 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian yes that's a good start but it takes more work on the gut to help bring this back into balance. Try eliminating completely all the kibble and bring in raw meats, eggs and fish as long as there are no allergies to these. Try organic where possible. I always treat this as leaky gut so herbs , glutamine, digestive enzymes and probiotics are important. In regards to the yeast I use herbs to treat this like Pau d arco, Milk thistle Calendula and Barberry. Try also avoiding all chemical flea tick and worming products and add in bone broth and coconut oil to the diet too. You can check out my products at www.herbsforhappyhealthydogs.com.au. I hope this helps. Cheers Lyndall CV and HHD

Hi Thank you for this very informative video. I have 3 dogs. All bitches. Two of which are long haired and rescued as 4 week old puppies. Ive tried withoyt success to feed raw. As an alternative I feed them home made human grade cooked meets, but recentely removed chicken from the menu as this resulted in my cross terrier being sick. I also offer cooked pigs liver, chicken hearts and liver. Vegetables include, carrots, egg plant, peas and pupkin. I also dehydrate lean beef for treats. For the past 5 months 2 of my dogs have been scratching, licking and driving themselves crazy. My sheepdog cross lossed fur from her back legs and her undercarraige was red and sore. For the past 2 weeks ive bewn bathing them every 2 days with a tea tree oil shampoo, and applying cold pressed virgin coconut oil to her legs and undercarriage which has helped enormously, and her fur has began to grow back on her legs The bathing has helped a great amount too, but ive noticed if by day 2 they are not bathed the incessent scratching starts again. They are on a zero grain diet. Id like to use Collodial Silver topicly on my sheepdog cross, as she is the one suffering the worse. How should this be applied and how often. When should i use the coconut oi and how often? My little cross terriet had no fur loss and no longer has the telling brown staining. Her problem seems to be at the base of her tail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
@HappyHealthyDogs
@HappyHealthyDogs 7 ай бұрын
thankyou for your comment. You can use colloidal silver topically every few hours if needed. Either use straight or dilute in warm water and bathe. You could also add a small amount into food 3 x per week. The coconut oil can be massaged in 2x daily but make sure the fur is dry when doing this. Also add a little coconut oil into the diet. Avoid starchy veggies like carrots, pumpkin and peas and focus on green leafy and other green veggies. Also make sure you are giving a good quality dairy free multi strain probiotic that contains some SB friendly yeast strain (this will be found on the label of ingredients- saccharomyces boulardii). This is a friendly yeast that helps keep other nasty yeast strains at bay. I hope this helps. Warm regards Lyndall CV 🐕

Hi I feed my dogs kibbles they eat six fish by Orijen. I tried buying the raw dog food but they still had yeast issues. I tried different raw brands for over 2 years yet still no change… btw I was not adding anything extra. I only changed the food. Now it’s been close to two years and they been eating six fish. I most definitely saw a change when I first was using it, but I was being very strict. I didn’t let them put anything in their mouth unless it was six fish. Eventually I felt bad and start buying them raw food by Freshpet home cooked chicken recipe, freshpet roasted meals tender chicken, freshpet multi protein complete meal…and I gave them treats by freshpet which was there turkey bacon treats. Once I did this they both started back having bad issues with the yeast. I still didn’t add and toppers to they food or give them anything extra becauSe I don’t know what to give them or how to:: for example if I buy elderberry I wouldn’t know how to give it to them. I only saw it come in teas and I don’t want to give them medication. I know summer is coming so it’s just going to get worse on top of fleas coming 🤦‍♀️Also When the bag of food is done I was still feeding them the six fish kibbles. Only thing I did do was sometimes feed them coconut oil and put some on their bodies. That actually gave things a very small change, but I’m scared of the raw food because it made everything bad for them or maybe Freshpet not a good brand 🤔

Even feeding a raw diet is sometimes not enough to overcome long term yeast problems You also have to balance the gut and immune systems. Herbs and nutrients along with pre and probiotics are really essential when it comes to overcoming a resistant yeast problem.
