Treatment at Riverview Hospital site today

The Riverview Hospital is closed, but mental health and addictions treatment is still happening at the site today.

Hello there, my name is Gabriel Uri Dugal, I attended the barbeque at the other facility, they had the plan for the red fish healing center for mental heath and addiction, I walked alone with the 19 year old activity worker around the red fish, She told me she lives in delta Vancouver, My room was next to Chris that went to surrey, he would leave his door open, we where in Brookside building, He was in hillside, I had a cannabis use disorder cocaine use disorder, and that Gabriel denies drinking, I protected and helped the nurses, I now live in Ryan hill, there are staff in my building, they work 24 hours, Vancouver island

So it has re-opened? Will they be increasing capacity? What about re-homing the people who were left homeless and drug addicted due to the closure in 2012? Most of these people are unable to function healthily in almost all interpersonal relationships. Many don’t want to change. We need more housing small housing, lack of barriers for those struggling.

Nope it was abated and mostly torn down asides for whatelse left up for filming. I abated the west lawn and crease unit during 2018 and 2019. Riverview only had one or two bulidings functioning before 2012. The hospital was basically closed in 86 most paitents died or flocked to the east side and wound up oding because of that China White heroin that hit the streets. Shit was half price and killed half the populace.

@@V1VISECT6 there needs to be more widespread coverage about this. I feel like people don’t want to listen because it’s easier to kill the ill off rather than the elite investing in solutions. Which they won’t as it costs too much. We have a societal crisis occurring, thousands of people dying. More people died from overdose in BC than Covid during the pandemic. These peoples stories, and their families/ancestors stories have been stolen from them. This in my eyes in the greatest atrocity of our society over 1000s of years in European colonial society. These people abandonment, and left to die.

No one wants modern day psychiatric treatment, especially when the Colony Farm Coquitlam Forensic Psychiatric facility that was built across the highway and train tracks from Riverview uses glue to repair the broken teeth of its inmates. Public funding of these monstrosities should, actually, end. Riverview is a place for movie sets and is not for healing or treatment. When these medical professionals threatened to cut off my brother's hands, they misinterpreted inflammation from a familial Ankylosing Spondylitis condition as evidence of some ludicrous biblical guilt.
