She can’t apply too much pressure to the inflamed ones. It will cause cellulitis. A lot of the time in the case of inflammation, relieving the majority of the pus & pressure will allow it to heal.

Really the most loan can offer is to extract them and hopefully this young man will be able to come in on a regular basis. Something that I don't understand is I would think that do you have a treatment of anti-inflammatories before extractions would relieve some of the discomfort and at least make the skin in better condition for when the extractions are done. Really just thinking off the top of my head. LOL stay safe and be healthy.

You want it superficial (like a first degree burn). If it's too deep, you will puncture blood vessels and nerve endings. This causes scarring and severe pain.

Andrew there are far too many pustules for her to fully clean out each pore. Every one of those yellow/ green pustules hurts like hell (from experience). She's doing the best she can so that he leaves looking and feeling somewhat better - that is the objective. She can focus on fully cleaning out the pore in later sessions when there are less pustules.

You think these pustules, and infected pimples, and the cellulitis is going to just magically clear up and all the puss and bacteria inside them will just vanish? This type of acne often has to be treated like an abcess and needs debrided, lanced, and emptied as much as possible

Having had acne just like this years ago when I was in high school, I totally understand why the technician isn’t emptying the pustules completely on the first treatment. The skin feels extremely tender and sensitive, like there are a million bruises under the skin, and the surface feels hot and like you’ve been chewed up by fire ants, also a little itchy but you can’t scratch without burning pain that turns into a deep ache. This is going to be a slow process. A painful one. But! The best part of the process is that initial pop. Getting even a little bit of the contents out instantly relieves the pressure and you have this moment where you let out a deep sigh of relief. I still get occasional breakout with this kind of acne when I’m stressed out, but luckily it’s no where near as bad as it once was. Even most of my scars are gone now! This kid has among road ahead of them, but it’ll be worth it in the end!

We want to see all the contents emptied...but sometimes it can't be done on the first treatment. His face looked so painful. BTW-How did you treat your acne? @@christycarter893 I went to a dermatologist every month who eventually started me on birth control because she concluded most of my acne was cause by a hormone imbalance. She also referred me to an esthetician who would do regular extractions and facial treatments because I told my dermatologist that I was a picker. She figured that since I’d end up picking at them myself, she might as well prevent that by having a professional do it instead. The birth control helped get my acne under control, but it was still pretty bad. So during my junior year, my dermatologist put me on actuate.

In parts of Vietnam, including Da Nang, people have been given a genetic predisposition for getting, among other things, bad acne due to Agent Orange poisoning. The genetic problems have been passed from one generation to the next.

The skin is so fragile right now that it would not tolerate additional squeezing. The important thing is to relieve the pressure and open it up to begin the healing process. Of course this client will require more appointments - that’s not a scam - it can be healed in just one or two visits!

@@juliaalvarez537 When someone’s skin is this bad they don’t squeeze really hard because it’s extremely painful for the patient and the red inflamed skin is thin and easy to tear and bruise causing more pain. Getting out some of the pus will help some of the redness and swelling go away so the skin will be stronger at the next session and then they can squeeze harder without further damaging the skin. In Vietnam they don’t use any “freezing” before the procedure like they do in the USA by either using lidocaine injections, gel, or cream so it’s a very painful experience. (I’m a registered nurse)

I really feel for this young man. He needs medical treatment with antibiotics, retinoid creams & accutane. In this video, the technician seems to limit herself to picking at pustules without emptying the pore contents. They will simply reform. Perhaps she squeezes them off camera to avoid excessive bleeding in the video. Who knows? In any case, it's an injustice to this client if he doesn't see a medical doctor.

These aestheticians are acne experts and are better at healing acne than their dermatologists are. Most medications in VN are over the counter, the aesthetician provides recommendations to the client based on her experience with similar cases. He’s in good hands.

@@ALT-vz3jn WTF! The only correct treatement with antiobiotics and doctor, not acne pseudo-doctors. Removing bleeding postula will only form scars that will never be repaired but with laser. For severe acne isotretinoin is used (roacutan). Unfortunately, this kind of antiobiotics are common in Europe but maybe expensive or unavailable in those countries.

Initially they might see a doctor and he maybe prescribe an antibiotic. More often than not he just write a script send you downstairs to the salon and they would take care of you. Antibiotics are for sick people and so are doctors That’s what happen with me. Yeah doctors can’t be bothered with acne that’s the job for an aesthetician.

Apparently somebody has been mashing bumps on his face & their hands were not clean, causing his face to get infected. He needs to continue to get skin care in a sterile environment, take medicine, keep his skin very clean, drink more water & try to get good skin care products. @@thescarletgraywitch8052 My daughter told me she saw a comment from a vietnamese lady who lives in the US, that Loan discussed with the patient in that particular video seeing a doctor who prescribed him antibiotics and referred him to Loan for acne extraction. It also sounded like that is general practice - doctors referring patients to clinics like Loans. My thought on that is that doctors don't have the time to do the extractions, so sends patients to a suitably trained practitioner. Vietnam does have a problem in that the long term effects of Agent Orange due to one of the ingredients can and doescause skin problems such as acne. Agent Orange will take a ouple of hundred or more years to finally leach out of xois, water etc.

Yes, this person has suffered an unbearable amount in their short life time. My heart does go out to him. But having had a career in medicine it kills me to see so many cystic acne opened up one after the other with no ensuring that all of the acne matter & pus, which contains not only dead white blood cells, tissue debris & serum but also bacteria was removed. It is so important to thoroughly eliminate all of the pus, and all of the acne matter which contains sebum that the bacteria feeds upon, not just what is at the opening of the cyst. These are not just always here but they can exist deeper within the cyst. She opened up so many, so quickly that she barely had any time to remove the top layer when she was on to the next. I am sorry for the criticism but this is just unacceptable if her purpose was to help this man's skin heal.

If you had a career in medicine you should know that when the skin is this inflamed is really painful, the person didn't have any anesthesia, so if you push too much the patient will ask you to stop because he can't deal with the pain and probably will never do this again because of the bad experience. You have to trust that at the end of the day your patient will go home, take their medication (pills and lotions) and will take care of their skin. This treatment will help the medication to be quicker in clearing the skin but this cannot be the only treatment, they need lotions and pills too.

Plus he probably wouldn't be able to tolerate the pain, it looks so painful. As his skin improves she'll be able to do more. We don’t know what he is getting and what he is not. There are two more videos of this case and she did a fantastic job on him. There are many things that goes on behind the scenes that we don’t see. The people here with the negative comments know full well what really is going on but want to continue causing drama. Loan is a professional and knows what she is doing. When there is a lot of pus, you should give each zit and extra squeeze or 2 to get it all out. Then put some type of acne med on each one

The only way to tell if he had an infection was to do a culture. That is inflamed live acne and will heal nicely after extraction. She always does it right and uses her neat tools afterwards to throughly clean, vacuum out the pores.

Although there are some good extractions here, a lot of debris gets left in the pores. This can cause additional damage to the skin, as well as scarring and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Just removing the infection will only help awhile. The entire blackhead need removed. Should be on antibotics

They need to remove the sacs. They do not poke or squeeze enough to clear the pores 100%. Leaving it in will make things worse. Yes it is painful. But if you don't want infections and having to continue to get poked again and again, it needs to be done right the first time.

All I can think of ,being an RN, is cross contamination and non sterile tools. Yet these people do get better and get more care we don’t see. Loan is one of the best technicians..The client will receive antibiotics, antiseptic washes and creams and other ointment and light therapy to name a few. They will be instructed in skin care at home. This video shows just the start of the journey.

This poor client has terrible painful acne. By removing the scabbed tops and opening the pore, Loan is helping their skin push the rest of the contents up toward the surface for easier removal. It's their first treatment session, so she has to be careful. She's learning their pain threshold, which helps her figure out a method for future sessions. Because their skin is so bad, this will easily take at least half a dozen treatments. Environment and hormones are two of the biggest reasons for this kind of acne. And since they're in Vietnam, I'm pretty sure Agent Orange has had some kind of influence on this. Asian skin is very different from skin here in North America. Squeezing too hard can cause hyperpigmentation, pits and acne scars. Calling her lazy because she alters her technique to cater to every client is uncalled for. As someone said, this is only part of the session. Not to mention KZbin is cracking down on blood content in videos and she could get her channel demonetized or deleted if there's too much of it. Skin tends to bleed when it's torn or punctured. And depending on the location, it can bleed fairly quickly.

It must already feel painful, and isn't something that can magically get rid of fully in one session. I think they're just trying to minimize trauma and not bring more pain. Even if it was all fully squeezed out, he more than likely would still have to return
