Hi! I have a question for you! At minute 1:25 you have a side note regarding omissions and substitutions can be phonetically based and you urged us to make sure we've teased apart if it's phonetic or phonemically based before moving on with a treatment approach (which absolutely makes sense to caution!) I wonder though how we go about distinguishing that. The example you used in particular of /k/ replaced for /t/ is a fronting process that I've always classified as phonological in my mind. I'm curious, with your littles who front, what helps you determine if you think it's motoric (phonetic) or sound organization (phonemic) that's the issue to help you decide artic approach vs. language-based phonemic approach?

That's what brought me to this video. I've been trying to find the answer to this question and can't figure it out. I wonder if this is articulation due to the child being able to distinguish between /t/ and /k/ in her first step.... if that's the case you wouldn't have a diagnosis until that point then... it's been a year since your reply, I wonder if you got the answer lol

This was very informative, thank you. I have a pateint who can understand what is being said but has trouble forming the words he wants to speak. We think the traditional motor approach might help him. Can you please post a video explaining that process. That will be really helpful.

Hi, I'm 15 and I am constantly bullied at school for how I speak I can't pronounce the k and g sounds. I have tried moving my tongue in many directions, but I make the t and d sound. I hate saying words like talk, uncle, and dog. Thank you very much for this video

Can you only work on one sound at a time when doing the traditional motor approach? Or can you group 3 sounds together and work on one sound each session?

By any chance do you have any tips for those who are struggling with using the correct word order. Sometimes when I speak, I mix the order of the words in my sentence.

Hi, I am from Argentina. I wanted to know if is possible to make a reducation of my voice, becouse It´s difficult to me pronunce all the english vowels, becouse I can´t produce the vowels IN the same way native speakers does. And if that is difficult or imposible I want to recongnize the diffrent sounds at least. I mean I look about minimal pairs, phonological awarness but I need a profesional that help me with some exercises ...
