Rabbit Hunting on foot with natural tree fork catapults also collecting natural forks around the same area as the goats willow naturally grows in forks, because this is a open hillside area the trees get 360° sunlight which aids in the trees and branches growing evenly, I was using two folding saws my opinel and my silky f180 both great wee saws. Paul shot one rabbit on our trip out he's currently shooting an anti cold precise band. Any questions feel free to comment below

To be very truthful, you have not damaged the shrub, you have lopped it back. That means on the branch you cut will get more thicker with more stems growing under the cut. The cuts you are making will never ever kill a willow shrub or tree,me myself,i like to cut to a twenty degree angle,so water will not sit on the cut..

Nice work, I like the flat top natural’s with the groove cut/ filed in like that, be making up a few more myself that way. I have been using the old school bands and have just got myself a 2m roll of GKZ. Interesting choice of tree, (Salix capria... Goat willow) but I prefer the Latin name bellow. It’s ok, I was a tree surgeon for thirty years. Great video’s you are doing👍 Mark

I think naturals come with the dna of cattys not in the sense that’s that were they originally came from ,, but no matter how much time passes me anyway always go back to a natty making and shooting them to the best that I can. Nice few there great bag 👍🏻🍀😎

Depends on what you want it for, silkys are the best imo but you have a few different teeth sizes.Course teeth are great for cutting alot of fire wood but struggle a bit getting snagged on finer work. Silky pocketboy is a good all rounder

@@CatapultCarnage Thanks for reply. In my younger days, I would instinctively aim the slingshot "gangster", and I recon that's still going to be my preferred grip. I also like holding the fork grip, if that's what it's called. So I recon it doesn't matter much if the handle is thin? Already made some decent ash forks. It will only be for target practice as hunting with slingshot in Norway is forbidden. Slingshots in general are illegal here, UNLESS it is home made... Strange rule, but works for me. Don't tell our suits they all shoot the same. ;) I'll stay subscribed, enjoying the content. :)

Catapult Carnage When I was your age LOL I would make mine out of olive tree forks and my father would put a nice round stone in side the fork and tie up the two fork ends then leave it in a low oven for a few hours to dry out the timber ( cure it ) the once dry cut the wire take out the stone cup to right length and would have the perfect half circle ⭕️ shape . I thought he was clever.. My be one you can try..!

so what would you recommend the bands for a natural i am just starting out i am using looped tubes with tabs the tabs on a old milbro i found on a walk because it looks like it makes it go over the fork rather than though it can i do this with a natural fork ? i was thinking a nice hardwood fork with a 4mm hole a 4 mm bolt with some leather tabs then bands or will it just come and it me in the face?
