Wouldn't it have been quicker simpler and safer to have rigged the entire eucalyptus in 2 or 3 sections over to tie in tree?
@RAWArb2 жыл бұрын
Maybe it would have been quicker/safer, maybe not but it wasn't an option. I work as a freelancer and I have no knowledge or planning of the job until I turn up on site. Then I have to deal with what is presented. The company I worked for on this job only gave me one groundie and no rigging kit which really limited the options. We had all day on the job, so time wasn't an issue but with only one groundie, we would have struggled to get the branches off the roof and into the space we had even if we'd rigged bits down.

Eucalyptus is a great tree to work on once youve got experience, i find rewarding. For any newer climbers it can be a shock to the system.

This is exactly why I shake my head when people constantly insist size is what makes a tree difficult.

Exactly! You know how it is, people look at things with blinkers on or know someone who had a shrub removed and think that is the same as removing a tree.

Get a little foam cover for the mic, it will stop most of the wind noise, I know that from using a motorcycle intercom system, probably also help with some of the back ground noise. I have been doing a bit of DIY tree pruning over the last week, not recommended I know, but so far so good, beech tree is bloody heavy wood lol.

New subscriber here. Nice video and the audio isn't half bad and with some subtitle here and there I could follow what you were saying. I've done a every small Eucalyptus a few weeks a go and but every in my car to bring home. I could smell for a least two weeks😁

Hi Great videos. We have lots of conifers that really need to be "topped" about half way up. Would you ever use a ladder to get to a point and then climb on up? Bottom part of the tree is very dense to climb. Think I'll call in an expert...
@RAWArb3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason Yes, I quite often use a ladder for access into the tree and the climb higher. Takes all the hard work out of getting up the first 20-30ft.

There is definitely an improvement on the sound quality from other videos. Think you'll always have a wind issue. Happy climbing bud and stay safe.

Thanks mate. I've ordered a new mic and 'deadcat' (that's their actual name 😂) to try and cut down on the wind noise a bit more.

Hi! Great video 📹👍. Can I suggest some type of insulation for the mic? You have improved your sound quite a lot , I know that you can find out there some type of "pillow" for mic (some similar to sponges and other features hair like finishes) . Bye 👋you ve a new sub!

Great suggestion! I've been looking for something that fits the mic but I think changing the mic to a more standard size might be easier. Thanks for watching 😊
