Tree Swallow

Great video! Just got into birding a year ago and put up our first birdhouse this spring. Already have a couple male swallows eying the property-can’t wait to put up more!

I have tree swallows that next here in northern Ontario below the underhand on the wall of my log house. They make a nest on the wall not a cavity. They are not barn or cliff swallows. Anyone else seen tree swallow nests nesting on the outside wall. Nest made with grasses, sticks and mud.

Never seen that. Tree swallows are cavity nesters

I live on the Mass Vt Ny border when can I expect Tree swallows in spring if I put up houses ?

I have a question . I live beside a pond and i have a tree swallow nest box on my upper deck. The male and female checked out box few weeks ago and began bringing in twigs grass etc building material that has been dropped in there. However its been exactly a week today and the tree swallows have not come back to the box at all. What is the reason?! Will they ever come back and finish their nest?!
