Trees with Don Leopold- eastern hemlock

Hemlocks are great trees. I forage for reishi mushroom which grow almost exclusivly on eastern hemlock. Their scientific name is ganoderma tsugae. The places where you find these trees are the most beautiful forest scapes you'll ever find.

I love these trees. I see them a lot in southern Maine. There are at least 4 by my house. 1 very large, pretty, one in the front.

No, but you can make hemlock needle tea
