I've been waiting for this bike for a long time. I am in my sixties, and I still ride almost 19 mph in hilly terain. But it hurts to push that hard, especially in group rides with younger riders. This is why I am interested in this bike. The previous Damane+ bikes looked like e bikes. But this is better.

really frigging awesome, I ordered my Domane+ LT7 Project one for 11k+ about 9 months ago and it's still not here and now you guys release a completely newly engineered version that seem light years better for the same price I'm paying. I better find someone at Trek that helps me out of that mess! I own several new Trek bikes and have been always a happy camper but this pisses me seriously off!

I hope they can just credit you and allow to order the new bike. I came close to ordering the Domane + LT7 like you. This new version will not be available for a little while but worth the wait I believe. Good luck.

Hey Daniel, if you wanted to switch over to a Domane+ SLR, just stop into your local Trek retailer to talk to them about changing your order. If your Project One order has not been started yet, you can absolutely make the change before we get to work on that dream bike!

Be careful what you wish for. The Domane+ with the Fazua battery motor combo is pretty awesome. It has more torque. It has front and rear Isospeed. Porsche just bought Fazua so you would be riding a Trek/Porsche.
@antuanclamaran1205
@antuanclamaran1205 Жыл бұрын
@@havindy Yeah, it is not as clear cut which is superior. The Fazua system has proven itself for a number of years now and it has the unique ability of quickly switching to a conventional bike. You just remove the battery, put in a cover and you are good to go with -3kg. There are also plenty of cheap implementations of Fazua, from 2500€ whilst this new TQ motor costs 3-4 times that.

Great bike but the starting price of almost $9,000 is going to be cost prohibitive for a lot of people, me included. I bought the Domane + ( which I love) in 2021 for $6,500 and that was a stretch.

I ordered a Trek Speed Concept in January 2022 in Singapore. I still have not received as of today. Wonder if this will also happen with this new Domane SLR ebike.

I just bought this bike and am concerned about its range. One of the rides I do is 48 miles at a 22+ mph. With my 2021 Specialized e-bike, I was able to finish w/ the front group (which ordinarily would not be the case). I do not want to have to buy an extra battery…what do you do w/ your 2 water bottles in the summer-don’t say put one in your back pouch or put a tri bike cage on the rear of your saddle…ugh to both. I have never used a power meter so I do not no what kind of wattage I can easily manage. I’m thinking your only option would be to tweak your power settings on each of the 3 levels. Surely you must have a chart that, at the very least, could give me a starting point.
@trekbikes

Check out the Trek Central App found in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store! The Trek Central App would allow you to tune your bike power settings and see a coverage map for range, taking your route and power setting into consideration so you know how far you can ride.

@@trekbikes This is what I'm asking. I'm doing a 50 mile group ride. 50% of the ride would fall under Zone 1. 35% , Zone 2 and 15%, zone 3. Do I have enough battery to finish this distance. If so, how do I figure out the settings for each zone?
@jscotthager
@jscotthager Жыл бұрын
Here is my problem. You will be using each zone during your ride, each zone depleting you battery life more than the zone below it. You will be doing this, of course, to hang on to the group (which we are assuming will be averaging 20+ mph) and also finishing w/ them. A long distance, say 50 miles, becomes problematic, simply because you will be using all 3 levels during this ride and this will, undoubtedly, effect your range. Taking into consideration your weight, power output and fitness, I’m pretty certain there is a mathematical solution that could solve this dilemma, but I sure as hell don’t know what it is. What I would like to see is a program in which you plug the 3 factors mentioned above, the distance and elevation of your ride and probably the mph average. The program would, knowing the available power in you battery, know if you could complete the distance.
