I bought a Powefly 4FS yesterday, and it has blown me away! I did not want to get into these quasi-moped stuff that is flooding the market from the East (most not even legal), but I need some assistance to climb the hills (I am 63 years old). The Powerfly is an absolute joy… so gentle in its application, giving you power when and how you need it. The Bosch system is the way to go. Thanks, Trek!

Hi guys, just watched this vid - does the Powerfly do that weird thing that when you hit a flat or go downhill gently at 25kph, it seems to feel like it becomes hard work - I’ve only hired an e bike once which was great fun but you hit 25kph and it feels like it drags?

Hi, yes it does. It's a feature of a full power Ebike, and it's the motor cutting out at the speed limit, leaving you on your own, so it feels much harder work. In the UK the max assisted speed is 25kph or 16mph approx. You can pedal or freewheel faster, but just with rider power, not electric power! Thanks for the question 👍. BBB

Hi and thanks for the question. If you ask your Trek Dealer about the 'Range Boost' system which is an external 500 Wh battery pack and integration kit that fits most of the Trek/Bosch system bikes. All the best, David.

I have a Specialized Turbo Como SL 5 with IGH and belt drive... my second e-bike is a TREK Powerfully 4 Rev4 with 625kwh, with the Como, I have my modes set super low, USE my legs in conjunction with the Bike's power for 100kms..... I can't ride with others.... my average speed is 30kph... these 2 days, I've been doing 30 - 33 kph now average....

Hi, yes it would be great for that as it has plenty of range. Just have a think about what tyre & luggage setup would work the best, depending on the the type of riding you are planning to do. ATB BBB.

We would recommend visiting a local bike store as the the answer depends on how big the 2.4" tyres are. Tyres vary widely in size even when they have the same nominal size. Thanks BBB 👍

I would use this for trail and commuter rides; if this bike had a higher top speed, I would be all over this like a duck on a grasshopper.

Understand. In the UK the top speed when assisted by the motor is just over 15 mph or 25kph. This works well in the UK. Thanks BBB 👍.

Lots of older or less fit people, returning to cycling, often after decades away, really find these e-assist bikes enoucourage their 'cycling' journey and return to confidence and fitness.
