Trek ProCaliber 9.7 | First Ride, First Impressions

Taking my new Trek MTB for it's very first ride and it's turns out to be quite a tough one.

How do you find it compares to the gravel bike? Do you think it would be much slower on a gravel type route?

Probably not a massive difference as long as the route stays 'off road' but would be slower on any tarmac sections

Nice bike, only thing I would add is a dropper post.

Put a dropper post on my Trek calibre, great for steep descents, you can get your arse further back for more control, also handy for steep starts, gets the saddle out the way and pop it up once you get going.

@@themuddycyclist I've just bought a Scott Scale that came with a dropper post. Cant stand it, too much messing about. I've never needed one before so the carbon post is going in to replace it.

I think the section you’re referring to is on the South Downs Way, just up from the A27 as you head west.
