it collapses like a z rather than a telescope. they end up with a shorter profile so they are easier to store inside your pack.

I bought the black ovis crestone trekking poles, they're junk. The handle is foam colored to look like cork. The epoxy failed on the couplers and they literally fell apart. I had 2 sets because I ordered 2 on accident. And have had 1 pole from both sets break. Buy once cry once get the peax.
