I love your new-ish neon aesthetic. In a video essay, it's more than a cheeky sign post of key points and transitions. Instantaneously recognizable and memorable, you've brought neon's original use back into focus. How wonderful that a medium shift, (dragging along all the trappings, such as sound effects,) revived the initial purpose of neon. Your essays are great, diving into Trek lore is great, your workmanship is great, but thanks especially for this odd little tidbit to chew on. It has me wondering: what other passe pop culture tools can find renewed life online? The video essay is the perfect testing ground.

If something is worth doing at all, it is worth doing correctly. The chances of species from hundreds of different galaxies and planets all being able to use the exact same gravity and the exact same breathing atmosphere are a trillion to one. Every species uses speech to communicate, eyes to see with? Everyone has two eyes, two arms, two ears, two legs. Yeah, that's highly likely. Rather than use CGI to create logically credible aliens, let's treat the audience as if they were retarded children, and make every alien into a humanoid. Just slap on some cheap rubber bullshit mask and a dollar store halloween costume, no one will notice! After all, we are stupid, lazy, greedy and disrespectful. The only important rule in Hollywood is GET PAID--- so we can snort more co>caine while fuck>ing little boys up the as>shole. Why create SF that reflects LOGIC? It is all about the MONEY, so we can take more dr>ugs, and ra?pe more little boys. SF fans are worthless mindless weak sheep scum. Because every trailer trash retard can hold up Star Trek and say "That them there "science stuff" about evolution and Covid is just LIES, look at how DUMB "science" is" YOU are the reason SF su"cks. Great video as always. Great editing. Must be kinda fun skimming through episodes to find the most dynamic bit of a scene to include as a visual. One thing that always got me despite the fall of the Romulan Star Empire, on Star Trek Online or STO for short. During the Legacy of Romulus expansion. After the sacrifice of a Romulan Republic commander shielding himself and a bomb on Khitomer during peace talks to thwart sabotage by the Star Empire/ Tal Shiar. It was in this act that actually make the Klingons become the first faction to recognize the Romulan Republic of De'wa III, and offer to be an ally to them.

Extremely fascinating, I didn't expect to enjoy this video as much as I did, mainly do to the fact that I'm only familiar with the JJ Abrams reimagining of Star Trek. But found the videos highly informativ and surprisingly easy to understand for a Kelvin universe only viewer. Great work :D

I loved the videos, thank you so much. You should do the other races, like the Ferengi, the Cardassians, and the Betazoids. I'm particularly interested in the Vulcan-Romulan Divide.

That big jump at 4 and a half minutes. That's what's being filled in now. I'm going to look for a supplement to this series. I hope you're working on one. It even looks like the show is explaining how there can be the new looking Klingons and the more familiar ones.

Dude this is awesome, I've watched star trek my whole life and even I wasnt aware of all these details. Most of this was news to me in how it fit together in the larger tale of how peace came to be between klingons and the federation. Before I always just said "Kirk and Picard did it"

Great video and the first part as well. Thanks!! Really takes me back to see so many scenes from the Dominion war and the Enterprise C from the "Yesterday's Enterprise" episode of TNG and the Duras sisters trying to get control of the empire etc as well. I really have to watch my TNG DVD collection again at some point :)

You gotta admit that backtrack story trying to explain why Klingons did not Have ridges in TOS then having them in TNG was pretty good: for and the unintentional mess they made(not sure who decides how the aliens will look I assume the writers) when adding forehead ridges in later on.

A long while ago I remember hearing (or saying; it was one of *those* comments during one of *those* events) that the Klingons were going to be the first extraterrestrial chapters’ of Hell’s Angels.
