Holy crap man, this is good! I was trying to get a decent Oswald deck together and found your video on him, I tried yours and it's really fun, this one is gonna be good too! I love you you explain stuff, every card feels useful in the deck, nothing is too expensive, you sir are a master deckbuilder if I've ever seen one !

Now *this* looks fun. So fun in fact that I might actually build it (currently I'm occupied with life/work and another TCG has been occupying my free time lately, so this is the greatest compliment I can give)! The fact that my Dina doesn't really work as intended and is sadly due to disassembling "helps" //sobs Although I'm probably having Lathiel helm mine. Standard grievances with the manabase yada yada. Also, in here lifelands might be good, since they both enable our commander as t1 drops and have decent synergy on later turns. As for the next deck tech, I'm really interested in Storvald. He looks super fun *and* that built-in protection makes the needed 7 mana investment more secure. Thanks for another entertaining Sunday afternoon!
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Glad you find the time to watch the deck techs despite your busy schedule - your support is truly appreciated! And I agree, the the Life Gain land & Sapseep Forest would be good includes if we want some more life gain sources from our land slot, though I would go with Sapseep Forest since it repeatable for only a single mana. The Jarl gets another vote, passing Karazikar and slotting into the second place spot - lets see if he's got what it takes to catch up to the Mind Flayer in the lead!

I'm really loving this deck so far! I built it on moxfield and have been trying it out on Spelltable, and is by far the deck I am most interested in making out of my trial decks. However, I was just wondering what upgrades you reccomend in order to increase the powerlevel? I was thinking about adding a little protection for Trelessara, as she gets removed quite quickly, like Whispersilk Cloak and Lightning Greaves, and possibly a Ghostly Prison to slow down life loss even more. But I was just wondering what you reccomend, as I've only been playing since around February. Thank you so much for your videos! I actually built your Anje, Maid of DIshonor deck as well, and it can be quite powerful! It's also a blast! Keep it up!
@GrazzetMTG2 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you've been enjoying the build! Keeping Trelasarra is always a good idea, so Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boost, and Whispersilk Cloak are always good options for that. Otherwise - Heliod, Sun-Crowned is a spectacular life gain playoff to grow our commander even faster, as is Archangel of Thune to grow our enter board instead. Hope that helps!

This video has made me really, really want to build this deck! I wanna upgrade it a bit and keep all the themes you mentioned, but add the Heliod/Ballista combo and potentially adding Ashnod’s Altar and Trudge Garden for an infinite life combo and infinite scry, which means Aetherflux Reservoir to the top of the library
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the build! The changes you mentioned will certainly bring up the power level of the deck for sure - just make sure your playgroup is okay with infinities before you buy the pieces!

Amazing video as always, with an amazing deck as always and an amazing testing session that definitely will happen. I really enjoy how you use all aspects of a commander's effect, here for example using not just the obvious lifegain bit-by-bit strats but also the +1/+1 counter synergies as well, making sure this isn't just Dina, But White. Not a lot of deck builders do that, so applause 👏. My one-eyed vote goes to Nihiloor because *Eldritch Infinite IQ noises*. Jokes aside, I have always loved our tentacle overlords. Should Emrakul count as a Mind Flayer? Maybe... Day 14 of waiting for GrazzetMTG's face reveal. I wonder how close it will be to your PFP? I guess we shall wait and see.

A nice upgrade for this deck would be The Ozolith. It's not the cheapest card but if you can get it would help out with the counters.

True - it does help us keep our counters and put them back on our commander if she were to get removed. Good suggestion!

As a Bant player at heart, I have to vote for Storvald, Frost Giant Jarl. Making tiny things big or big things tiny as a mechanic sounds like a lot of fun, and giving your creatures pseudo-hexproof isn't a bad thing.

Very interesting Deck, but i would like to know if you could make a list with a higher budget?(even if it's not what your channel is about). Because i am wrecking my brain about a 150$ Budget Version of the Build since i like the idea of the Deck so much that i want to see what is possible in a less restrained way. Thanks in advance
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Sure, I higher budget list is most certainly possible - some of the cards in the upgrades section of the video would be a great starting off point as well as speeding up the land base. As far as higher budget builds specifically by me, that may have to wait a bit as I'll be switching focus to Innistrad when I come back, back I may revisit updated/higher priced builds inn the future.
@SlayzerEx3 жыл бұрын
@@GrazzetMTG Thx for the fast reply. Guess i will immediately implement the sidegrades and upgrades as well as invest in a better mana base. Do you have a list as for which side-/upgrade replaces which card in the budgetlist? Would like to buy the upgraded Deck in one go.

At this time the builds will be focusing on the new AFR commander's and specifically the 3 listed at the end of the video - but to keep an eye out as we'll likely be revisiting some commanders from older sets at some point down the line.

What about Leonin Elder? Whenever an artifact etbs, you may gain 1 life.
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
True - since this does proc off our opponents artifacts as well, we can get a decent bit of lifegain out of this 1 drop as they they their rocks or utility artifacts, or a whole lot if we have an artifact deck at the table. Good Suggestion!

I really want to play this deck on mtgo but getting my hands on Twinblade Paladin and Valkyrie Harbringer is seeming impossible, I've been trying to buy them well above market price for 2 weeks now but can't seem to get them. Are there any good alternatives for them?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
To stay within the same CMC - Twinblade Paladin > Attended Healer & Valkyrie Harbinger > Felidar Sovereign. Not quite the same effects but they can still get the job done without impacting the build too much.

Time to bust out Nihiloor for some salt-inducing shenanigans! Or are you going to be able to build a deck that steals your opponents' things WITHOUT leaving them sore and drawing everyone's aggro?
@GrazzetMTG3 жыл бұрын
Stealing is such a harsh word. Nihiloor see's it more as creature redistribution - less your opponents creatures and more "our" creatures (*queue USSR Anthem*) . But somehow I doubt the players across the table will see it that way. Nihiloor keeps widening his lead further, now holding a considerable distance between himself and his competitors - could he run away with this one like Volo did in the last poll? Only time will tell.

I agree that Selvala can find a home in this deck since it does provide life gain and ramp. Ultimately it wasn't included in this build due to it not doing enough for its price - since its slow and it still helps your opponents by drawing them cards as well.
