I remember being on Trell's twitter seeing him say he was unprepared for an event and thought to myself "well he's still a pro, I'm sure he'll do decent" come back later and boom, he makes top 8. I was not expecting that level of good! This deck profile is beyond great, it just feels like "Yu-Gi-Oh the deck" (though I admit HBO is a much better name). It's funny, I was thinking what the O could be, I thought of Orcust, but then told myself there was no way. Lit up like a lightbulb when he threw down the Mekk Knight. The side deck is pretty cracked too. This is an absolutely stunning deck, and I need to make one for myself asap. Congrats Trell!

I have to say this might be one of the best deck profile videos I have ever seen, I didn't really know anything of how these cards worked outside of the Bystial package but after watching this I felt like I could lab this out. I heavily appreciate the clear and consise explanations on cards with an explanation on what you used the cards for in a real game situation. Plus the camera work was clear which for some reason is never a thing in deck profiles? Congrats on topping with off meta, I might play around with the deck at locals.

Trell is example i use when it comes to "there are cards yall not thinking about using, cuz yall focused on current meta, yugioh like magic the gathering, theres too many for a set meta

Yeah Bystials are really neat in Orcust engines. Dark Grepher, Tearlaments Scheiren, and even the Brass Bombard if you have space for a Salamangreat Almiraj are all handy unbricking tools to work with. Horus engine really seems like a good fit for this type of deck too.

I would say Linkuriboh over Almiraj. Linkuriboh can also be used with the token Girsu summons, allowing for Girsu to be full combo on his own.

you can utilize PK to get into the Orcust stuff without Zombie Vamp. My list puts up #90 for a mon negate, Floating Dingirsu into rusty for a target pop and a non target send, double fog blade, and an I:P on OPs turn for S:P for 2 banishes. Off Imsety, Torn Scales, and any lvl 3 extender (Kagemucha knight, Junk forward, Silent boots, T.G Warewolf, spell striker),

Congrats on the top man! I'm not much of a fan of Bystials in Orcust myself, since the deck already has way too many high level bricks on it's own, but I'll give it a try. What do you think of the Mekk-Knight package in this deck? Purple Nightfall is another level 8 so you can use him either to search out Girsu or as an additional extender for rank 8 plays.

Mekk-knight package seems like a good addition, helping in the occasions you open the multiple normal summons without needing bombard. get a handtrap bait with blue, and extend. also itll let you take out orcust return. I feel like the deck still needs linkuriboh or link spider tbh

Why are you so self-conscious about your rarities, Trell? I only play TCG with my friends. Do ygo players get bullied for showing up to events with cards that aren't the highest rarity?
