Awesome! Must not be able to rent these as I see so many DIY installations where they trench up their nice lawns. Helped install a system as teen in the 80s and the owner had r need one.

Out here I have never seen them for rent nor have I seen them used. I didn't know about them until my son started using them in Indiana. I can see why they may not rent them out due to the danger potential. It's easy to snag things underground. It's not seen on the video but he snagged a cable underground that was barely subsurface a few INCHES.

Only thing I saw to say is cement/dope the male end of PVC pipe fist, then do the female only wetting it. Otherwise you end up with a bulge of excess glue inside the pipe. I mean what do I know after 50 years of plumbing! lol. Otherwise I want to get one of those Case vibes!! Great work. I have a couple acres to irrigate

I didn't know you could do that with pvc, I thought it was only used with poly...

The thing he put the pipe in is a wire pulling basket. Electricians put numerous wires in it and then pull the wire through pipe. It tightens as it’s being pulled. We put tie wire through it to keep the wires from possibly coming out. Rarely happens

Philip, thanks for the info. I knew I'd seen it in the electrical supply warehouse I worked in 20 yrs ago but I couldn't remember the name of it. Ingeniously simple design.

Awesome plow work but shouldn't have mixed the MP Rotators and the rotors on the same zone. Could have used MP3500s instead of rotors if distance was required. Good video though

Marty, ultimately that is true, but I was just along for the ride on that one and recording the trenching method so I had no say in it. That was a different irrigation company's project. Thanks for sharing.

So,,, the reason you wipe the glue off the outside of the pipe is to prevent the glue from burning a hole in the pipe. What about the glob of glue you pushed to the back of the bell inside the joint? Never put glue inside your bell ends except in larger sizes -expecially thin wall. Prime the pipe end first then the bell without going back to the can. Never allow primer or glue run down inside your bell or pipe end. Prime the bell tilted downward then apply glue to the pipe end, push in and turning 1/4 turn-hold for 3-5 seconds. Then clean off pipe of excessive glue. Remember, primer (MEK) is also a lubricant and it starts the process of breaking down the PVC for cement to make the best bond. Here's a great habit to incorporate using purple primer. Prime the pipe end the length of the bell length. This will alow you to visually see if the pipe is completly in and will allow you to see if the pipe pushes out of the bell. This habit above is also true with sch. 40 fittings.
