Yeah, "shoot at HQ" was a somewhat ill-conceived idea. Neat in theory, but some of the most fun things in these matches is seeing the waves of units crash upon one another, and giving either side of the match an "I win anyway" option is a bit eh. I think something more fun would be a bounce-back mechanic, where the lower your HQ health is, the more marbles you get in the mixer. And/or an "enemy at the gates" mode, where the side whose HQ is being attacked by the nearby enemies, gets extra marbles, or extra-power marbles by default (i.e. they get x3 multiplier marbles from the get-go while this is active).

These emergency mechanics are totally annoying. Not having those mechanics is of the things that makes Lost Marbles actually more enjoyable than other channels. It's stupid to have bacon savers just to prolong the fight and make "miracle" comebacks that are actually forced comebacks.

There are two significant changes: 1. Barrage can be Barrages now.(still excellent aiming) 2. Rifleman learnt Ballistics but forgot Aerodynamics.

I think it helped them win. Normally mortars tend to end up at the back and help defend their own lines, but these ended so far up front they kept the frontlines of purple clear.

@@lostmarbles3d They also don't seem to scale. I saw a 27 fall into the sandbag but there didn't seem to be a difference in the amount spawned. Maybe to make them scale better they gain an additional 5% HP for every extra marble that gets put into them?

Playing it again will definitely show a well different outcome so a series of games on each setting would be required to analyse more balanced “ marble manipulators”, imo. Before just offering more marbles if one side is really doing badly! I mean, where do you draw the line? But I love watching them. ❤ War, maths and chance. Cool combi.

As I’ve said before, having a clone marble and 3x slot in the opening area makes it a bit too easy to get massive numbers. Both times I’ve seen this setup we’ve had massive multiplier balls get into pockets. It makes it less special if every game has one of those big waves. I think they should be spread out. Make the 3x a 2x or move the 3x to the next bracket and put the machine gunner there. Machine gunner is good, but not as good as a 3x as far as I’m concerned. Swapping those two is a good idea I think. Also as others said, a “shoot HQ” slot doesn’t feel that good. Also, purple is very hard to read.
