The Trend Following Bible
Trend following strategies are fairly simple concepts which allow professional traders to compound their wealth.
In it's simplicity a trend follower is following the flow of money, this could be a bull or a bear market.
Unlike a simple buy and hold strategy, a trend follower will more often than not avoid major market crashes, and on occasion take advantage of them.
Patience and discipline are key traits the trend follower will need, such traits will allow for the compounding of their returns and ultimately their equity.
The old adages of cut your losses short and let your winners run is ultimately the goal for such tend following strategies, much like he Turtle Trading Program made famous by Richard Dennis.

In india lots of people coming to stock markets and there are many KZbin channels which luring people to subscribe their stock market courses charing atleast 500 dollars to 1000 dollars claiming it is easy way to become overnight millionaires. People lose their capital and many people get depression and suicide. I think if people see your videos regularly again and again, they atleast they know how to manage Risk by positioning sizing, stop Loss and money management and also they will know insight from the greats from stock market history. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

I just created an indicator with this "double donchian channel" strategy and tested on Brazil's Mini Index: it's crap :| Maybe with MACD it could be better, but at least on its pure form is basic crap. In short, it has the same problem as when trading moving average turns: it's laggy; the entrance is often to late, there are many congestioned moments with stop loss and when one finally has a profit, the delay in the exit signal is such that some times half the potential profit is lost, therefore not generating enough positive result to compensate the many stop losses. So, as it's often the case, some filters are needed to use this DDC idea.

Also, just some suggestions or ideas for future videos: How about comparing Platforms like Think or Swim vs Active Trader Pro vs. other platforms. Or also reviewing the trading strategies like Swing Trading, Trend Following, Day Trading, and so on. The basic ideas and math and price charting of these strategies is really not covered very well in other YT videos. But your style and review methods could really help in these areas. Really nice work! A+++++

If someone is investing long term it is probably best if they just leave it alone and not try and time the market. I only say this because when you look back at historical data it’s easy to see where you could get in and out using this strategy, but it is a known strategy now and may be used against those who try and follow it as market makers increasingly find new ways to take people out.

FOR SWING TRADING FOREX--Any trend reversal first starts on lower time frames.Say market is coming down on D1,4H,1H, time frames.Now on 5 minute chart market starts making higher high higher lows--obviously 5 M trend can go up in smoke quite easily--so I would think that it would be prudent to confirm first that trend has ALSO changed on 15M chart(higher highs higher lows) before buying & confirm it by checking that RSI 5 has moved above 50 on 15 M chart as well.We seek your wisdom & experience.

Sir, MY QUESTION IS--If trader was trading forex pair to hold for average duration of 3 days what time frame should be used for TREND DIRECTION?--IS IT 4 H CHART? Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower times frame trend).Trend on 4H chart may be the best trend guide for majority of forex traders.. By the time trader confirms that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 5-7 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 10--15,four H candles has enough big players/juice/force behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset to lose again. Your wisdom/experience please?

Hi Gopi, the breakout is not refering to the moving average only the price. I would assume the principle would be ok for 15/30 time frame etc. No the MACD cross needs to be above the zero line to buy.👍
