So, what is a cashless policy and a cashless transaction because this seems to be a government policy? I think we should be ashamed of ourselves as a country because wild animals organise themselves better than we do in Nigeria. I have never heard of a government that enforces a cashless policy. What a government does is to develop the financial system so that in this digital age people are no longer comfortable with carrying cash. This is a complete failure and ignorance of financial management, and it is very shameful that Nigeria is always projecting a bad image to the world that their leaders are deficient.

CBN cannot impose cashless transaction on Nigerians like that despite the fact that am an advocate of cashless banking...My reasons: 1) We are socially unequal 2)We are economically unequal 3)We have inequality and gap in ownership of technological devices and acquiring knowhow in using and having POS and other electronic banking machines... 4) Remoteness of certain communities dislink them from national electricity grid,banking services,transportation network and Internet services So,I suggest a mix in cash and cashless economy...Transition to cashless economy can linger until it is fully achieved due to the challenges I pointed above. Even energy transition that is being embraced by many countries have different timeliness and projections,so CBN try to reflect and readjust in your decisions in order to carry out this commendable banking system properly well...
