Great video! There're definitely cultural differences in preference for makeup. I noticed a lot of East Asian women prefer sheer over pigmented formulas since they are more practical for daily use especially for newbies. Some products are universally good though. Thanks for sharing!

i agree! i do love a sheer formula but for these shadows for me isn't so much about the sheerness is more about the impact? its hard to describe but idk something is missing T-T

@@j.uuuuudy i think the lack of impact is probably what makes it popular. This is an ongoing trend in korea makeup since 2021, targeted for newbies/ people who want something easy for everyday use. The shades are so light and subtle that makes it hard to look too intense by heavy application or bad blending. Maybe china has this trend as well!

I love the bite size in rosewater because it’s so sheer! 😊 I use it when I don’t want a lot on my eyes but just some gentle shading! ❤

Yes! I have very fair and translucent skin due to a genetic condition and lately I've been going for softer colours and more sheer formulas because they're foolproof. Normally I love pigmented eyeshadows because I prefer colour and impact, but it takes a lot more work, time and blending to get it "just right" 😅

I mix the putty blush with the elf halo glow liquid filter on the back of my hand and it fixes the patchy issue ! I apply it with my fingers and blend it in with a brush. It gives a beautiful glow ✨

Thx for sharing your thoughts Judy. I actually really love the rose water quad lol. Especially when that deeper shade fades out into a sort of navy color. But I like to use the shimmers wet or dab them over some glitter glue as a sort of "topper" shade. I agree that the elf quads are not created equal. Some of the color schemes can be monochromatic and it can be hard to get depth in looks bc everything blends right into each other. And girl when you mentioned the matte finish of the blushes I was like "Yesss!" Lol. They're so hard to blend and they can look flat so I like to mix them with a liquid illuminator, I only have the shade bora bora and love the color so sometimes I just super prep my skin and then blend the blush on top 😂😂

i have the same 3 liquid glitters! i bought “flirty birdy” first and fell in love with its pigment and how easy it was to blend. i bought “pinky swear” and felt the same way. i then bought “disco queen” so i could use it with more eyeshadow looks, but i found it to be very dry, patchy, and hard to blend. have you noticed that with yours too? in your swatches, it does look less “spreadable” than the other 2

The putty blush doesn’t work for me as well. It’s overall okay but I agree it’s a bit patchy and too matte for my liking as a cream blush

Id like to see chinese drugstore makeup coa theyre prob cheaper than european imported makeup. Even shipped to the UK asian cosmetics are cheaper than the cheapest drugstore here. They hve their own makeup trends, brands and producs that trend so id love to see new products we dont hve here eg lash eyeliner (super fine for lower lashline) that stays on. The lashes are so pretty too, lips lots of tints glosses and blotted lip. Differences betweeb asian countries also products more suited to with hooded eyes and more natural in general. Also a goth grungy vibe i love. Im into it.

I actually really enjoyed the bite size shadows in the shade cream and sugar! The shimmers were really stunning and the mattes performed pretty well. My only gripe is that they're so delicate that I broke it and had to repress all the shades. It happened twice and I ended up getting rid of the palette as I do already have shades quite similar without the fuss! I used to own flirty birdy and wore it ALL. THE. TIME. I actually used up a ton of it and I'm not someone who goes outside often haha. It ended up smelling weird so I tossed it, but.... maybe it's time for a new one? I also used to own mocha twist and wow that shade is stunninggggg. I'm East Asian and a lot of brown-y shades don't look good on me as I'm pretty yellow (I think I'm olive-toned, but I'm not quite sure-- warm foundation shades still seem a little.. weird on my skin tone haha, and cool tones are very obviously not my shade.) I've been meaning to pick up mocha twist again! Also, super agree on nectar srsly satin lipstick. It's my most used lipstick! I also use it as blush sometimes because I can't get enough of the color!

Nectar works so well as blush. The shade is pretty itself but the formula also blends out easily and stay on cheeks. And nector paired with cider creates a perfect sunkissed blush.
