4:50 I’ve seen other people put the first layer of the cateye but don’t magnify if but cure it and the second layer they use the magnet. And it helps the cateye pop. Idk if you’ve tried it. I love seeing the different ways people apply it. Because the end result is always so beautiful

I do sometimes that when I’m just doing a regular cat eye mani, but I didn’t want too many layers with this one doing gel base, black, cat eye, jelly, gel top. But most times if I’m doing multiple layers of the cat eye I like to magnetize all layers just to make the design pop more

I've got dark grey /black swirling/mermaid gel. Going to use that instead of black and swirl it, then do the cat eye and then the jelly polish. I think it would come out interesting.

Yes, I thought about doing something like this as well. I wanted to use one of those gels, they have a name for it, (swirl shell thread, or mermaid) but it’s made with those shimmer pearl gels and you use a dotting tool to make the swirls in the polish. Instead of using one of those gels, I wanted to use a cat eye gel and make the swirls and then use the magnet. After that, apply the jelly gel over it and see how it would look. In my mind, I think it would be beautiful, but we’ll see! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Oooh how gorgeous these nails you made turned out. Absolutely love! ❤ And by the way, this brand of polish is AMAZING! I think I’ve had all the things for over a year.😂 I would definitely love to see you making jelly, gels, back in the day I used to use markers to help tint regular nail polish, or color on your nails and use alcohol to manipulate them, just like alcohol inks. I wonder if you can do that with base or top gel?

Are you looking for gel or air dry glue? There’s always the option of sticky tabs as well, but you’d probably only get a couple days wear, at most

@ gotcha! For gel, my favorite is the super stick gel from West Coast dips because it’s a thicker consistency making it easier to use but not solid.
