Such a beautiful set, the nails and the polish collection. @ I like it! I have several high-end Korean cat eye gel sets, including the DVok new moon collection and for some reason I often feel my cheap amazon cat eyes have a more distinct shift and the high end ones tend to take on a gray hue no matter the color. But this set is my favorite dvok cat eye collection for sure! Very pretty! But I’m still learning how to get those mind blowing magnetic shifts

My favorite colors are the purples and blues. I love them all for different reasons and purposes. So when you apply your extensions, do you ever remove them to be able to reuse them? If so, how do you remove them in a way as to not damage them? Also, what do you use again for an adhesive for this? This set is way too pretty to just take off and toss in the trash. ❤tIA

Unfortunately I just take them off and store them in a jar lol not to reuse but to see how much progress I've had. I wouldn't recommend taking them off to reuse them personally.

i love the collection but it is not ideal for me to spend over $200 on nail polish collection not for my pocket and i was trying to see if they sell the polishes separately because i just like a few or one of them that i really want but sadly its not sold like that so i will just look and admire your nails and work from a far

They might have them individually on sweetnailsupply website I actually learned about DVOK through them and didn’t know DVOK had a stand alone site. When you buy though the invoice says SweetNailSupply though so I think they’re the same company in some way.

Super helpful tutorial, I’m learning to do my own gel x nails at home but I’m having trouble with my end result. My nails don’t feel as sturdy as they do when I leave the nail shop. I can’t really describe the sensation but it’s similar to when you bend your fingers back. That’s the way it feels whenever I grab something with my hands, like my gel x nails are pulling away from my nail bed and I absolutely hate it. I do a nail prep, I purchased the same brand my nail shop uses (apres) the nails feel thick in a good way but the pulling sensation is awful. It was hard to wash dishes because when the dish is resting on my hand and pushing on the underside of my nail, it feels like it’s ready to pop off even though it doesn’t. I want to know what I could be possibly doing wrong and if you have any tips? Please and thank you!

I also want to mention that the brand Apres sells a gold bottle “extended gel”, I’ve noticed the salon uses it too but I haven’t purchased because it is super expensive for a small bottle but I may have to if this will fix my problem. Also, I’ve noticed I do have a few air bubbles after curing so maybe this could be why it feels like the gel x nails aren’t hard and secure to my nail bed? When you applied your gel x nails, it appeared to run smoothly to the top of your natural nail and there was no bubbles or unevenness from glue to nail so would you say you’re able to be rough with your gel x nails without any sensation of popping off, and that they feel super sturdy and attached to your natural nails? Any advice is super appreciated.

I have actually had this happen before! I knew exactly what you meant when you said the feeling of pulling when you were washing the dishes. For me it was the nails were beginning to lift and were actually going to pop off soon (usually within 24 hours). My guess would be a couple of things could be happening (at least this is what the problem was for me). I had this issue when I was using a dehydrator that would still leave my nail plate oily. So I switched brands (I use modelones on amazon) Also, if you have any air bubbles the extensions are more likely to pop off. So I switched to a thicker gel glue that would give me more control of the flow. I prefer thicker gels because they move slower so I can see exactly where it's flowing and start over if I notice any bubbles. I switched to the Yogo Zombie Base Gel (Korean brand from Sweetie Nail Supply) and the Apres Extend Gel. It's pricy, but both work really well for me. Another thing is I put a layer of the gel on my natural nails, cure then apply the gel extensions. I noticed when I skipped that steps they would fall off in a week. I hope this helps!
