God's word is God's word. You either accept all of it or none of it! We don't change the bible. The bible changes us! I wouldn't wait til judgement day to discuss this with God though. Our time here is very short. Eternity is forever. Read God's word and let it change you as God is the only one that can change you. Great sermon from Pastor Ed. I was at Elevation Church for about 2-3 years and got tired of a motivation sermon every week. Pastor Ed preaches the truth with love and compassion. Wish I lived closer to Texas. God bless.

This is the problem with going to college for your education on things biblical. I dont understand the points trying to be made...especially this message on WHY racism is. Whats the point of using the big bang and evolution to make a point when we, as Christians, know it all to be false? You reference a lot of science in your teachings and not a lot of scripture. Add the flashy lights and the off topic parables and I think im beginning to understand this church and its popularity a lot more.

To be fair to Pastor Ed, Scripture literally does condemn homosexuality. I love gay and trans people; I have many friends who are both! And I’m bisexual myself. So I’m not condemning it at all. But Scripture does. That’s why I’ve stepped away from Christianity for about a year now. I still love Pastor Ed and the wonderful people of CBC, but I haven’t attended church in months and I feel disconnected from Christianity right now. With all due respect (I promise I’m not trying to be inflammatory here!), I don’t understand how you can call yourself a Christian and go to church yet dislike certain Scripture. Either you embrace all of it, or you embrace none of it. You cannot cherry-pick which Bible verses to love and make Instagram posts out of, and which to ignore. The Bible clearly says gay relationships are a sin, in MORE than just one verse! So why be disappointed that this man (who’s made it his life’s mission to preach the Gospel) stuck to the curriculum of Scripture? Simply because he used the word “woke”? I really don’t get it. Like I said, I love gay people. I’m an open-minded, kind, accepting person, and I love everybody unless they do something horrific. But sin is sin according to y’all. And God sees all sin the same according to Scripture. So being gay is lumped in with idolatry and m*rder. You can’t have it both ways. Either you’re a Christian and you believe the Bible to be true, or you’re not. 🤷‍♀️ That’s the way I’ve come to understand it.

First of all, I wish you the best and hope you find whatever it is you are looking for spiritually. My beef with this sermon is Pastor Ed is buying in to manufactured culture war topics and he is cherry picking sensationalized headlines. No one is accusing him of being a homophobe or racist simply because he is a straight white Christian male. It’s absurd for him to even suggest that. He also touched on “toxic masculinity” and suggested men can’t be men anymore. Such BS. The “toxicity” is the a-hole behave some men tend to exhibit. You suggested looking at scripture in a binary sense as if we should accept it as a whole or reject it. Why should we do that? Many of these people reject homosexuals but they don’t reject adulterers like Trump. I still love the CNC and Pastor Ed but I feel like he couldn’t be more wrong here. Despite his best efforts to make this seem biblical it was nothing more than propaganda.

I agree with you. He did not go after condemning the Proud Boys... I hear the faux news talking points trying to define our culture that are wrong.
