Snoop's statement is exactly what 50 cent is talking about when he says "hip-hop is black music and that is why there are some black people that cannot aknowledge that there is a white dude that plays the game better than black rappers". He hates that statement because is true and throws hate at Eminem for it.
@Officialencode2 жыл бұрын
It's not hate. The symbol of black solidarity that is hip hop cannot stand on the shoulders of a white man's success. Of course the black struggle intersects with class struggle, and that was most likely Eminem's point of entry, BUT he's now essentially a rich white man -- his history allows him to understand parts of our culture especially through hiphop, but no part of him today represents the core of hiphop. As an artist, i consider him the best lyricist ever.
@GabrielHernandez-if7yh2 жыл бұрын
@@Officialencode I am sorry but your reply to this comment is pure ignorance. Nobody EVER have said that Eminem represents black people or their struggle better than black peopke themselfs. Your comment validates what 50 cent said once more. Hating on Eminem simply for being a "white rich man"?. Come on man.

@kaylinsmith69212 жыл бұрын
@@456012 I think the point is that even though everyone you mentioned is rich, at the end of the day, they're still Black men, and therefore, face hardships that Eminem, a white man, will never face because of white privilege, even though his childhood was difficult.

Snoop is an absolute CLOWN for this! There are a ton of great rappers - Snoop barely scratches the top 50, arguably. Tupac is my favorite rapper of all time, but he's not even in my top 5 if I'm taking all aspects of hip-hop into account; adaptability, articulation, cadence, impact/influence, longevity, sales, word play, etc. Honesty, I grew up during Em's prime and didn't like his music at all. I felt like it was just goofy. However, he's only getting better with age. Of course, that's my personal opinion, but it shows that he's able to adapt and grow. Ever since Kamikaze dropped, he's consistently held my attention.

I would say em is the best rapper from an overall standpoint. Lyrically, he has used more words than anyone else and that's an actual fact. He also has always spoke it like it needed to be said. He does not hold back or sugar coat things, he tells them straight up. Plus, you can hear his pain, he doesn't just say things to say them. One of the biggest issues with rap is half the stuff isn't even true or is over exaggerated. The best part about em was he was never afraid or scared to say anything. There will never be anyone like him, especially these days where every little thing offends someone. I hope you all enjoyed him, dude will always be an absolute legend.

Hip Hop/Rap was created on the backs of little black boys/girls so when we listen to a genre that came from us but isn’t necessarily speaking to us that’s why some people take points away from Em. Em is literally a modern-day Shakespeare. Only difference between a poem and a song is the music. This man is arguably the greatest lyricist of the past century, a man who not only writes lyrics with double, triple, quadruple entendre, but even when he talks you can hear him speaking with a certain rhythm, like a natural iambic pentameter. It's instinctive to him, like he's got a metronome stuck in his brain. He can spit bars in a moment's notice, no planning, no warning. The moment you challenge him to a rap battle, Em's neurons are firing at the speed of light to ruin you with just two lines.

I think the reason I love hip hop so much is because I love poetry. I love the flow of words, but the reason I love rappers like Chuck D and 2Pac so much is that they can take such simple words and string them together in such a deep and meaningful way. They can turn it into an essay on modern society and it hits so hard. Eminem is so clever and funny, just totally outside the box. I don't know how I would get thru life without music - esp Prince!!

Couldn't agree more with those facts about Em being one of the best in lyricism, wordplay, etc. Although I LOVE his old albums, I actually really like his newer music and let me explain why. Em grew up with a lot of anger and hate; he created music about his lowest of lows when he could've easily become a murderer, low life addict, homeless, etc. He got help and later on started rapping about positive themes; in other words, he gave US the best of BOTH worlds (rapping about negative tropes AND positive themes in the later albums), and he became a HUGE sensation in both sides too (look at positive songs like Not Afraid, No Love, Headlights for example). On top of his career accomplishments like being one of the best rappers due to his wordplay, lyricism, storytelling, etc, I don't hear many people compliment him for rapping about both sides of the field AND being successful in it. MANY rappers don't even make it big/have a cultural impact, and for Eminem to do it at both negative/positive phases in his life COMPLETELY amazes me. He's the GOAT

Xan retired. Pump on life support thanks to social media antics. Yatchy slowly fading away and also only relevant thanks to social media repostings of his antics. Iggy Whackzalea gone. MGK switched genres. Migos on life support. Tekashi been REAL quiet. He on life support too. Yeah slowly but surely these dudes is finna be gone. I remember seeing Snoop on Nick Cannon Wild N out like 15 years ago and he got slammed by white comedian, his comebacks basically circled around the fact that the dude was white so he couldn't be funny. I thought he was narrow minded then but The more I see of Snoop in interviews, the more I realise he is racist. Racism goes both ways sometimes but it still shouldn't be okay.
@MultiColin19863 жыл бұрын
@Xavier X this is a moronic argument, no I don't cry racist if someone has a different opinion to me. That's idiotic. Difference of opinion creates the basis for debate and healthy argument. You just assumed I'm part of this hoard of people who label everything racist so I can make it go away. My point is that Snoop himself has shown himself to be racist on several occasions and that racism can exist against ANY race is wrong. It can't be just be one way traffic because if we reverse it, we just create the problem in the opposite direction. If you view the world through a particular lense, that's the only thing you will see. I don't agree with Snoop in this video and I don't agree with a lot of what he's said about people. That is my right, to disagree and form a personal opinion based on that. And what do you mean about dictatorship? Where does that fit? You accuse me of accusing someone of racism on the basis that I didn't agree with what they said(even though my point circled around his actual racist behaviour) so you knee jerk the response 'dictator'? So I'm a dictator because you don't agree with what I said? Also again, on what I have seen from the man, he doesn't like white people and actively hates on them purely because they are white..... so yeah, racist.

I remember being in the car with a guy who was black. He got cut off by another car. He sped up, drove beside the car to see the driver. Looked over and said "ofcourse its an asian woman, all asian women can't drive." I flat out said that that's racist and he got ANGRY. Told me off saying that black people can't be racist, they're black. They can be racial but because of the color of their skin they can't be labeled a racist. But if I said what he just said, I would be racist. He confirmed this too. As a black man he's allowed to say these things. As a white man I am not allowed and if I wanted to say racial stuff maybe my ancestors should not have enslaved all the other races. Lesson I got from that conversation is that racists can be from any race and that the worst ones are the hypocrites. There's no reasoning with them.
