Snoop's statement is exactly what 50 cent is talking about when he says "hip-hop is black music and that is why there are some black people that cannot aknowledge that there is a white dude that plays the game better than black rappers". He hates that statement because is true and throws hate at Eminem for it.
@Officialencode
@Officialencode 2 жыл бұрын
It's not hate. The symbol of black solidarity that is hip hop cannot stand on the shoulders of a white man's success. Of course the black struggle intersects with class struggle, and that was most likely Eminem's point of entry, BUT he's now essentially a rich white man -- his history allows him to understand parts of our culture especially through hiphop, but no part of him today represents the core of hiphop. As an artist, i consider him the best lyricist ever.
@GabrielHernandez-if7yh
@GabrielHernandez-if7yh 2 жыл бұрын
@@Officialencode I am sorry but your reply to this comment is pure ignorance. Nobody EVER have said that Eminem represents black people or their struggle better than black peopke themselfs. Your comment validates what 50 cent said once more. Hating on Eminem simply for being a "white rich man"?. Come on man.

@@456012 I think the point is that even though everyone you mentioned is rich, at the end of the day, they're still Black men, and therefore, face hardships that Eminem, a white man, will never face because of white privilege, even though his childhood was difficult.

Snoop is an absolute CLOWN for this! There are a ton of great rappers - Snoop barely scratches the top 50, arguably. Tupac is my favorite rapper of all time, but he's not even in my top 5 if I'm taking all aspects of hip-hop into account; adaptability, articulation, cadence, impact/influence, longevity, sales, word play, etc. Honesty, I grew up during Em's prime and didn't like his music at all. I felt like it was just goofy. However, he's only getting better with age. Of course, that's my personal opinion, but it shows that he's able to adapt and grow. Ever since Kamikaze dropped, he's consistently held my attention.

I would say em is the best rapper from an overall standpoint. Lyrically, he has used more words than anyone else and that's an actual fact. He also has always spoke it like it needed to be said. He does not hold back or sugar coat things, he tells them straight up. Plus, you can hear his pain, he doesn't just say things to say them. One of the biggest issues with rap is half the stuff isn't even true or is over exaggerated. The best part about em was he was never afraid or scared to say anything. There will never be anyone like him, especially these days where every little thing offends someone. I hope you all enjoyed him, dude will always be an absolute legend.

Em has a lot of respect for hip hop. He even paid respect to Rakim, I believe. When Em made "without me" the first lines before going into the first verse, 'guess who's back' repeat like 6-7 times, Rakim's title song from '97 'guess who's back'. I just noticed that a few days ago. One of the best writers of our generation.

You're so right. People talk about all of this r@cism now but when I was growing up there were NO black rock bands until Sevendust, one of my all-time favorite metal bands. Then more cam along. Funny there's no discussion about black people coming into heavy music. They're embraced and we love them. I see far more younger people with best friends from different races than I ever did as a kid. This whole thing is utter bullsh!t from my generation. Another way to divide us. Em broke a barrier. He showed that an underdog that wants something bad enough can achieve it. So sad some of his counterparts have such an issue with his skin color.

Well, that's the thing: you can say that to some extent, Eminem's appeal to a white demographic (maybe young men and women between a certain age bracket) has helped his success. But there are other white artists who technically should have had the same advantage, yet are nowhere near as famous as Eminem or major black rappers like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and so on. So at some point you have to look past race and ask what is setting Eminem aside from many others? It's the evident superiority of his songwriting.

Honestly everyone dissing Game but dont anyone see what Game is doing. All the praise..Eminem constantly recieves…has deadened him. Games knows there is more there, there is even more greatness in Eminem so he attempting to awaken Slim Shady…HOWEVER I believe Game mistake is that Slim Shady is detrimental to Marshall Mathers because there is alot of drugs and rage behind that persona. There alot of demons that Eminem had to put behind to bury Slim Shady. Hip Hop would benefit tremendously from hearing Eminem destroy game but what would it do to the person? Shady doesnt need to return for the sake of Marshall Mathers. He is in a good place mentally to go back to the drugs and wild and craziness to resurrect Shady isn’t necessary.

One thing I don’t understand about Americans, meaning no disrespect, I’m a white British man, but in the UK we just describe ourselves as British, or Welsh or Irish whatever, we don’t deceive ourselves as Black British or African British, in America why do you describe your ethnicity when describing yourself or your area? Race/ Ethnicity is such a big thing in America it’s mental to me. Snoop is so jealous. And I know why. Because Eminem gets mentioned in GOAT conversations and Snoop rarely, if ever, does. And his jealousy is so apparent, and sad and cringe AF to me. He sounds so petty and envious. Like, come on man, your first album is a classic, you have always had a unique tone and flow and made good songs, and your wealthy, people still love your music. That’s what you did, that’s who you are. Let that be enough. You’re an OG. Stop the jealous hating. Because you have NEVER been a lyricist in order TO get mentioned in the 🐐 convo and that’s truth. Dr. Dre made your sound too and you’d be nothing without him, much more so than Eminem wouldn’t be (Eminem wrote so many of Dre’s classic verses and people don’t even KNOW. Eminem wrote the entire Forgot About Dre track. THE WHOLE THING. Em helped Dre have a rebirth in his own career and helped him save his fledgling label and music career, so they each helped each other!), you’ve never been in his league with songwriting, creativity or linguistically, and you can’t even get near his schemes, word play, metaphors, homonyms, alliteration, or flow pockets. Dre didn’t give him the ability to write the way he writes or spit the way he spits. That’s all him. That’s his own messed up head 😂 Hell, he wrote for Dre for Christ sake! Stop being a jealous hater. It’s a bad look for you, it’s borderline traitorous, and Eminem doesn’t deserve it when he’s been a good friend to you. Sorry so long but Snoop is tripping and getting it twisted, and I hate disloyalty more than anything.
