I like the silver/gray stacks! I have a tip/trick....I use swimming pool noodles to hold my stretch bracelets for storage, display or when it's time to tie the knots. These light weight foam come in 6",7", 8" and 9" circumference and you can easily cover them with fabric for display.

I have purchased the Magic Rods and for anyone who is debating on if they should get them. I want you to know how handy they come in. Before I had the rods I have to admit I made more errors when stringing my jewelry. They make it so easy to complete your design before stringing them. I use to forget something here or there and I would end up having to restart my project. They have been a time saver and made the designing process easier and more fun. I haven't been paid to say this. I just really believe they are a fantastic idea. I wish I thought of them, lol!

New subbie here, Ms. Luisa---so glad to have found your channel! Love your style--your entertaining yet no nonsense approach to teaching...your explanation of materials used and the variations that can be applied but most of all the fact that you actually put the bracelets on so we may see how they look LOL!!!! Most only show the final project--stunning as they may be--but which may or may not look well on actual people! Thank you, appreciate the inspiration, these Beauties are absolutely fabulous!

I have almost 10 trays of beads. Started collecting ten years ago to make jewelry. I have a lot that are plastic cheap beads I used playing with my nieces when they were very little. Letters etc. I never learned how to make any jewelry. We used elastic string that we tied and left it at that. I’ve recently gotten them out of storage and gotten a bunch more nicer beads for adults. I’m so glad I found your video. I’m trying to get supplies and set myself up to make bracelets then maybe move on to other things. I learned so much from your video. Thank you! 💜

Hi Luisa I would like to say that you put the T into the word tutorial. You have so much knowledge about beading, and always so willing and extremely capable of sharing with your viewers. I hadn’t thought to use the Magic Rods for stretch bracelets, but I certainly will in the future. That’s another great use for this super invention of yours. Using crimp covers to hide the knots, ingenious!Adored the opening of the video with the magical Christmas decorations. Now, as for choosing a favourite, impossible..however I thought the second colour way suited your skin tone the best. All beautiful! I would like to wish you and your Family a very happy and safe Christmas. @MistyMoonDesigns

Good point but I actually think some beads especially Chinese crystals and some gemstones have sharper edges around the holes. I think breakage usually occurs due to getting the bracelets caught on something or deterioration over time. It’s good to consider that though. One of my customers broke a bead woven reinforced bracelet once. Go figure! 😊🌺🌼🌸
@chrisgunderson8486

Interesting, I have never used a crimp cover to hide the knot on elastic, I will try it, I usually use 1 larger bead at the end to hide the knot in the bead.
@MistyMoonDesigns
@MistyMoonDesigns 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, using a large bead is definitely a great option. I use that option as well. 😊🌺🌸🌼 I find it easier and less messy to use crimp covers when working with tiny beads. Plus I thought I’d share a different option. 😊

Lucky ladies on your gift list are going to receive very beautiful bracelets.... Loved them all... I don't usually make stacks... but look so nice I'll have to at least make one for myself... You must've bought those beads at the shows .. hard to find such nice stones... I use Stretch Magic from JoAnn's or H/L...it's very hardy and lasts a long time... I usually stretch it out 15-20 times to sort of pre-stretch it so it doesn't stretch out when people wear it... Also I remind people to roll off wrist not tug on them so stay in shape longer that way... Thanks for the inspiration

I LOVE the 3 colour ways you used for making these bracelets! They're so gorgeous. I love the Phantom Agate beads too, they remind me of tourmaline beads with all the different colours that are in them. BTW, I live in Melbourne, Australia and I'd like to buy a set of the Magic Rods, they're obviously really useful. I would buy them from you on Etsy, but the delivery charge is too much for me I'm afraid! Could I use some long beading needles instead of the Magic Rods? I was just thinking that a lot of beading needles are nice and long, so they might work, and I could put a bead stopper on either end of the needle. What do you think? I've subscribed to your channel, as this video is one of the BEST I've ever seen. Thank you so much. Love from Amanda in Melbourne

All of these were gorgeous, and I had a hard time deciding between the amethyst and labradorite. But when you put all three together, it was definitely the labradorite. Only because the labradorite had hints of ble and I'm just a slightly more blue than purple person, lol. Where did you get those anyway? They are absolutely beautiful. So flashy and bright. It' so hard to find labr. that so uniformly shines through all the beads. You are the most awesome teacher. You're so innovative! I love your Fireline loop idea! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! 💗

Luisa, I just love your videos! Your entire demeanor is so calming and sweet! These bracelets are beautiful. I think my favorite one is the Malaysian jade orange set. Even though purple is my favorite color and I do love amethyst. I don’t know I can’t decide they’re all absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing with us. I have a question? I’ve been making the stretch bracelets recently after I watched one of your tutorials. And that’s the tutorial where you doubled the .8 stretch cord. I’ve been doubling mine when making stretch bracelets. It’s been kind of challenging on a lot of the beads to get it to get the through the beads because many of the beads the holes are too small. I noticed in this tutorial you didn’t double the string. Is it OK to do the stretch bracelets and not double the cord? It would be a lot easier for me if I didn’t have to double the cord. But will the bracelet hold up as well with a single cord? Thanks for your help in advance. And for anyone considering buying the Magic Rods that Luisa used in the video, don’t hesitate to buy them. They are awesome! I use them now on all of my projects and it makes it so much easier. You can create your designs and re-create them without having to restring your projects. You can let your imagination run wild before actually completing the finished work. They are a great investment!😀💜

Luisa, my mistake it is .7mm stretch magic cord I am using doubled.

Hi June. Yes, you can absolutely use the single cord method with any of the stretch cords. I believe that video you mentioned focused mostly on heavier beads and I think I used Opelon Sttetch cord which is more flexible and easier to thread through smaller holes. I use both methods but for smaller beads, I like to use just a single strand with a knot hidden inside a large hole bead or a crimp cover. As long as you add a little dab of glue onto the knot, the bracelet should hold up just fine. I'm so glad you like using the Magic Rods. Thank you for the nice feedback. 😊🌺🌼🌸

Thanks Luisa, I watched the other video again, and you are right it was for heavier beads. I didn’t realize that. I am still learning something new every day. You are my mentor. So now I know I can do it with single thread for the lighter beads and double for the heavier beads. Thank you so much for teaching me. I’m having a lot of fun with my bracelets. I’ve made some really cute ones. I started making matching earrings also. I’m having a great time.💜

I love this video and the bracelets are all gorgeous. I need to get these rods lolol....My question is if you mess up the design don't you still need to take the beads off the rod and start over? Did I miss something that explains this theory? I did learn something else too.....if you add beads on the end it doesn't mess with the rest of the design since it will be made into a circle. Its almost like adding a closing focal area to the end if that makes sense.
@MistyMoonDesigns
@MistyMoonDesigns 2 жыл бұрын
Yes! That’s the beauty of adding focal beads to the end! You can create patterns and in any length you desire. That way the entire stack is easier to put together. Regarding bead arrangement…the rods are great for sliding beads on and off as needed. Of course you could arrange beads on a beading board but the beauty of the rods is that you can hold beads, bead caps, and spacers snuggly up against each other to get accurate measurements which you can’t always do in a bead board. Before I came up with the “rods” idea, I used to use beading wire scraps but they quickly got all mangled up and then had to throw them out. The rods will last you a long time and they hold their shape. These are just a few of the advantages. 🙂🌺🌸🌼

Hi Maria. I buy a lot of my beads at bead shows but we haven't had many lately due to the COVID. I know the International Gem & Jewelry show is coming to my area in March and they have shows in different States. Here is their website: www.intergem.com/all-upcoming-shows#search-by-state. I also buy online at various places: Bead Box Bargains, Artbeads, Potomac Beads, Shipwreck beads, and even Amazon sometimes 😊🌺🌼🌸

Oh gosh…it’s been so long ago. I believe I got some of them from Bead Box Bargains and some of them from the International Gem & Jewelry show which comes to my area a couple of times a year. But you’ll probably have good luck on Etsy. I know they have some great sellers with good pricing. Also try Fire Mountain Gem. 🙂🌺🌸🌼

Hi Rita. Thanks for ordering from Misty Moon. I only carry the 60mm size, 0.8mm thickness in four colors. I’ve never carried any other size because it’s difficult to find in the .8mm thickness. Please send me a message through Etsy if you need more help. 🙂🌺🌼🌸

Good question. Just like silver jewelry, you have to keep it clean and store it in a dry place. I like to use a product called Eternal Jewelry polishing cloth. It works great on base metals. You can also coat base metals with a metal protectant 🙂

@MistyMoonDesigns
@MistyMoonDesigns Жыл бұрын
Hi Pat. Gosh!…I made this video 2 years ago and didn’t include the details in the description but I know they were pretty small. I believe most of them were around 4 mm at the most. The nuggets were slightly bigger because of the shape but probably in the vicinity of 6 or 8 mm in length and 4 mm thick. The rondelles were probably 3 x 4 mm.
