In this video our client’s name is Jordan. For the start, you will use number three clippers to shave all the way up to her ear. This haircut is a fun, messy haircut. If you want a spunky look, This haircut is for you. Make sure you use the point cut technique to have different lengths.For the bangs, you will cut down and slowly go to each side. This will make it piecey. After you blow dry the hair until 80%, you will want to use a medium round brush to start to give it volume. This way it also gives it some poof oval look. This gives the pixie a softer look to it. After it is fully dry, you put the hair dryer on low to soften and make the hair more fluffy. Then with a comb, you will double check to see if you need to add more texture. Then with a wala brush, you will brush the hair to back comb the hair. That way it gives the hair cut the fullness. You will want to make sure that you blend the sides to the top part and use that as a guidepoint for you and the rest of the haircut.

For styling products, RaDona uses her “magic products” Monat. The products she uses are unique to your type of hair and haircut. For the products that RaDona will use for this haircut, will make sure that the thin, fine hair looks thick and full. The first product RaDona uses is the Monat’s Root Lifter. You will especially put it in the top and back so that it will give volume and help the hair in the back stand up. Then RaDona uses Monat’s Moose. ( make sure you only use one pump. This moose is all natural and super concentrated. If you put in more than one pump, your hair will feel super heavy and have too much product in it.- one squirt is all you need). RaDona then uses Monat’s Thickening Spray. This spray will help make the hair look and feel thicker than it actually is. After adding these, you will start to blow dry her hair. After drying her hair, RaDona uses 2 drops of Monat’s Rejuvenique Oil. You will put it all over her hair to shine and condition her hair. Then RaDona uses Monat’s clay ( this is the perfect substitute for Distortion). This gives it more of a spike look and makes it thicker. This way you can manipulate the hair to how you want it.

I love this Cut, but my hair is very fine & kind of thin ( just not thick ) & also a little curly with lot of frizz. Also my hair is dry since I went thru menopause a few years ago. There absolutely should be a pixie club! Bobs are elegant looking and all, but... they are not nearly as fun and exciting as the perky pixie. It screams edgy, fun and freedom!!! Any of you contemplating a pixie, just do it! If you have long hair that you pull back in a ponytail, clip etc. every day: you're not loving your hair. Plus, your hair pulled back is similar to what it will look like already with a pixie, minus all that bulk. Just go for it!
