Your going to laugh at this but my basement flooded (long story),I have a great two floor attached apartment. I took my tenants beautiful shoes to our best shoe cobbler in Colorado Dardano's shoes. I pleaded to them to help me restore the guys shoes... I said I've watched these two guys Trenton and Heath on KZbin restore absolute messes to their original glory! He laughed and said Oh my God we are all watching the same thing on You Tube! There were 6 people in line 4 people raised their hands and said I watch them too we all laughed!

I swear, I was repeating "Oh My God" the ENTIRE time watching this. I am so very confused. I know the two of you are EXCELLENT cobblers. Not everyone is, and we shouldn't expect everyone to have your level of skill, its just not realistic. That said, HOW did this cobbler pass this off as his job? Me, as a person who doesn't even own any really nice shoes, would NEVER accept that level of shotty workmanship. He (previous cobbler) actually charged a customer for this? He allowed this product of his labor to leave his establishment? Im dumbfounded. Damn. He actually charged someone for this. Stunned. Absolutely stunned.
@maxnoerenberg6370
@maxnoerenberg6370 4 жыл бұрын
I can also believe it also depends what the customer wanted, how much he was willing to pay or when the job should be finished. A cobbler in a big city has lots of customers and has to spread his time wisely...and when the customer wanted the shoes back real fast or wanted to pay a certain price ...then the cobbler cant do a real thorough job. And then of course there are those cobblers that are just crooks!

Thank you very much! We believe that if you’re working on a cheap pair of shoes or expensive pair, your work should be excellent and not shoddy. If a craftsman of ant trade turns out an inferior job, they are telling the world what they’re made of.

Y'all always do such high quality work. I lived in Atlanta all my life but moved to South Carolina a few years ago and haven't been able to find a good cobbler here. So I was taking my shoes to Bennies in Atlanta when I needed work done. I will be mailing my next pair to Nashville.

Heath, First & foremost, absolute awesome extreme high-quality job and awfully kind of you to pay it forward.....wouldn’t expect you to consistently do that for people, as it should come specifically from you guys without a request and that’s the way that giving back to the community is so self satisfying! Continue to keep up the awesome ultra high-quality work!! I think you guys are awesome. Still enjoying my J&M‘s that you did for me!🙏🏻

I’m assuming that the term cob job, is attributed to what you had to fix, excellent display of craftsmanship. Thank you for the time it takes to put this video together. Cheers

Man I don’t even know anything about cobbler work outside of what I’ve learned in your videos but even I’m upset for the shoddy work this guy received. Great salvage!

My cobbler wouldn't even let something look like that leave his shop. He's an old Greek and repairs my different WW2 era shoes and boondockers and flight boots. He's wonderful with leather, a real god send.

These are so satisfying to watch. If I were those boots owners I would have had a fit at that other cobblers place. Looks like they tried to sew the soles on with a home sewing machine.

It's fantastic to see a true craftsman doing his work. Watched several of these videos now, what fantastic work. Absolutely brilliant. What does it smell like when you iron out the cork? Great video 👍
