This episode made me laugh. I was watching and my wife came in and asked what I was watching. I explained and she said watching shoes get fixed sounded boring and silly. Then she saw the guys and finished the show with me. Looks like you two just replaced the property brothers as her new favorite brothers. She has watched them for years despite hating remodeling, now we can watch shoe videos even if she thinks it is silly. Lol.

I love your channel…learned so much about the proper care of my leather shoes and boots. I want to share my experience with Thursday Boots, as I posted a critical review on Thursday Boots’ website, and it has not yet been published. I purchased a pair of Captains (size 15) from Thursday’s website on April 28th of 2022. When I applied Saphir Renovateur to the boots, I found a gouge in the right leather heel block, and a gouge in the right tongue from a sharp edge on one of the speed hooks. I also noticed the box was beat up and covered in dust. It was also black in color. I was not happy to say the least. I sent pics to Thursday Boots and was answered quickly by “Jeff” from customer service. He asked for pics of the soles, lot number, and inspection card. After receiving the additional pics, Jeff emailed a return shipping label and set up an exchange. I received the replacement boots and noticed the outer box was silver, not black like the first pair. The lot number on the inside of the new boots is now on the side of the inner boot liner and not on the tongue, like the first pair. I suspect the first pair had been on a warehouse shelf for some time, as a size 15 shoe is an unusual size. I’m very pleased with the customer service I received from Jeff. I’m disappointed that the first pair of Captains were shipped with damage. Like I said, I’m sharing this because Thursday Boots hasn’t posted my review, and I’ve seen several positive reviews that were made after I gave my review. I give two thumbs up to Jeff for all of his help. I’m just disappointed that I was initially shipped old stock boots that were damaged. I enjoy your videos very much. Thanks! In a follow-up: received the replacement pair of Captains. The tongue on the right boot is misaligned. It falls to the right and just rolls off of my foot. I’ve requested a full refund from Thursday Boots…waiting to hear back. So disappointed! Update: Returned the second pair of defective boots and requested a refund. I won’t be a Thursday Boots customer in the future.

Nice. Now, since you brought it up. I'm one of those guys that didn't know the Saphir spray conditioner came in colors. The first can I bought/used was neutral. I missed the color option when I bought the second can. Sadly, I now have a brand-spanking-new pair of desert tan suede work boots which has a misting of BLACK on part of one boot. Haven't even worn these boots yet. To date, I have not found a desert tan dye suitable for suede, but did find a "beige" from Angelus. So, my question is, what do you guys suggest as an approach? Some acetone and a suede brush to begin with? I stopped immediately upon seeing black, and did not apply anything else to these new boots (waterproofing spray). Not mad at anyone. Of course, the OLD work boots weren't the ones this happened to, it was the new ones.
