Ah, but you can! Please go get your license! If not your PPL (Private Pilot License) then your Sport or Recreation license. They cost about half as much as a PPL course and have limitations to where and when you can fly; but as the FAA continues to develop their definitions of what a Light-Sport Aircraft is, the door for cheaper flying opens wider. There is a huge shortage of pilots in Commercial and General Aviation fields. If you have a passion for it, please go take a discovery flight at your local FBO.

Mike is such an inspirational character. After finding out about him through your (Trent) videos, I went over to his channel and watched every single build video he had made, absolutely incredible. I had to know more, so I did some research into Mike himself. A truly self made man, the American dream, a “hero” if you will. Not only did his build videos and your positive attitude and enjoyment of flying motivate me to start working on my own mechanical projects (1970 Camaro 383 touring car), but his success in spite of personal adversity inspired me to overcome my own shortcomings. Thank you to the both of you. I grew up without a dad, but men like you two give me role models and goals that make me a better man. Thanks guys. -Nic

Very nice comment Baychevy! Its nice to see positive caring people out there! I felt some of the same feelings while watching Trent's and Mikes vids. My father used to take me and my sister flying with him in a little Cesena until he left us when I was 9yrs old. I still love airplanes but I never did get my license to fly them unfortunately. I run across Trent's videos a few weeks back and I'm so glad I did, I now stop in almost daily just for the smile, inspiration and breath of fresh air I get from watching these videos and the nice guys here! Keep working on that Camaro! Have a nice day!

"DRACO in backing into the hangar was the most "Drop the mic" moment i have seen in aviation." I can relate to that. In 1969 when I was dropped off in Vietnam by a C-123 at Dau Tieng Base Camp on the dirt runway, he left and an OV-10 landed. The OV-10 taxied in front of me, then backed into a parking spot. I thought, "What the Hell"??? I've loved turboprops ever since.

Smart Flying makes flying fun! I was a US Army Ranger with the 101st ABN Div. 327th INF. Recon. We jumped out of anything that would fly! I have been in two helicopter crashes, and in a C-119 flying box-car (flying coffen) that just regained power the last few critical seconds before crashing. Above our Mess-hall door was a sign that said: "The Sky, even more than the sea, is most unforgiving for even the slightest mistake." You pilots know how to keep it safe! Bless you, and thank you for sharing all that you do!
