For me this mission was the hardest in the entire game to beat on rage mode, the long hallways and maze-like structure of the arena make it nightmarish

This is the first level I tried rage mode on, and I managed to finally beat it after spending all night on it. Glad to hear I apparently got the hardest one done first, lol.

I HATE this level. Getting one-shotted by an aimbot cultist with a shotgun at the end of a wave is unbearable.

what are your tips for the suicide bombers in wave 3? not on rage mode yet (near the end of very hard) but I feel like they always get me to low health and I get fucked later

How come you started with dual pistols?

Are you asking WHY I did or HOW I did? Why? They are pretty much the best things in the game, especially against cultists (they have no helmets). How? I am assuming you may have though this was the Horde Mode version and thought I should only start with a single pistol. But it is not, and is just the side mission version of the map, meaning I can bring whatever I want.

I was asking why. I’ve been using your Rage Mode guides (which are excellent) and hadn’t seen you use pistols yet. Can you elaborate on your affinity for the pistols? It sounds like they’re more useful than they appear. Aside from Kellington I still have Jorvik Castle, Horizon Hq, Site 83 and Crash Site left to beat on Rage Mode. Thanks for the help.

@@andrewhastings6633 well to show why I like pistols, it’s best to look at why the other options are not as good. The assault rifle has a ton of kick even if only fired with single shots, so it makes it really hard to land multiple shots quickly at distance, especially on helmet wearing enemies. The SMG..... hits like a wet noodle, even to the head so I just don’t use it. The sniper does a ton of damage, but almost zero spawn anywhere on any map, so ammo is severely limited. So I guess you are wondering why I didn’t bring grenade launchers, smart mini gun, or the bolt launcher? The grenade launchers in that tight space would likely kill me rather than help me (same for the bolt), and as for the smart gun I think I was worried about spin up times and of course lack of ammo to resupply from. Dual Pistols however offer you more ammo than an Assault rifle, for the same damage and less recoil and ammo is usually dropped by almost every enemy in the game (except Cultists.... but ummm... ignore that) and have good ranged accuracy without laser sights (as those are a death sentence on Rage). Sorry for the big explanation, but TLDR - Pistols are the most versatile weapon in the game with almost no downsides, except that they are not shotguns. Shotguns are God’s weapon in this game.

@@All_Mighty672Awesome thanks for the insights. I made it to Wave 6 and started dying a lot. If the pistol drops are frequent on this level I’m going to try a new run with dual fire shotguns/homing grenade launchers to use up the 16 free shots at a distance and then switch to dual pistols 🤘

Why use two shotguns here instead of one, isn’t the rate of fire is worse with two?

@@canadianboi1507 I would just use a sword and a revolver for this level. I made this a while ago, and honestly the dual shotties are for style points

I played the demo a lot trying to get my Melee Only Rage Deathless run, which took quite a few hours to get. That taught me how to move without getting hit.
