Thank you for caring about what the child and mom needs in her classroom. I’m a mom of a child with some severe nut allergies and it makes my heart happy to see people caring and making the classroom safe!

I love the make ahead snack boxes. Such a great idea! I’m going to do this for my granddaughter when she comes for a visit. I hope you can tune out those ridiculous comments from that “little miss no it all”. Not constructive and not relevant. Your videos are inspiring, loving and just plain fun!! Thanks Hayley ❤️.

Hi Hayley, will you follow up with the nut policy for school? I’ve never heard of non-nut snacks from a place that processes other nut foods not being allowed, and I’m super curious. Also, thanks for continuing to make content that is true to you and Sydney, I look forward to watching the videos you share. Sorry that not everyone leaving comments here are as kind, hopefully this cheers you up 💜

My daughter has severe nut allergies and it was ALWAYS a struggle at school, birthday parties, dance, etc. it was always appreciated when other families made concessions for her. The schools (and we) never expected anyone to exclude foods that were processed or had traces with nuts-only overtly had nuts in them. Usually the foods that have traces or processed with nuts are avoided only by the child with allergies. But always check with the family/school. 🥰

I will definitely update! I’m going based on speaking with other mom’s who had this policy in their classroom last year. Thank you for being so kind 🩷🩷🩷🩷 It’s never unnoticed.

@@seasonalliving2881 thanks for sharing! I’m a teacher, so I’m super curious about the best way to support students with allergies. We are a nut-free school, but that doesn’t include nut-free food from a facility that also processes nuts. Do you mind me asking, does your child react to nut-free foods that come from those facilities? Or is it just a possibility that warrants eliminating the risk?

@@hillarysoo3632 Hi! No problem and thanks for your concern! My daughter (now 20-I can't believe it!) is now in college and has had to navigate this as an adult. I am a teacher as well (and a nurse) so this area is close to my heart as well. We have never tried foods that are made in facilities or traces it's just a risk factor thing. Some people have an airborne allergy which is REALLY scary and usually the parents will mention this one. She has had the off exposure/contamination with traces/facilities and been ok. :) Hope this helps and I am glad to help in any way I can.

Hayley, I love this video so much! I love to see you delving into the “homemade” type foods and it inspires me to continue my journey with homemade things and helps me find joy in trying new recipes. Keep showing up, don’t let anyone discourage you in something that brings you joy, because I can tell that it does! ❤️❤️ Much love and positivity from Kentucky!

Hi Hayley! Im going to offer what I hope comes off as I intend to give - positive feedback. Something I’m noticing about you is you’re trying to get into the homemade lifestyle, which is great. The problem is, you have a fixed mindset rather than a growth mindset. Basically what I mean with this is, you’re so incredibly new at homemade things, and if I’m honest, most of your recipes are not nutrient dense but more so comfort food. I would highly recommend not trying to teach something like you’re reinventing something to what I’m guessing many of your viewers already know. I know for me personally, I’ve been on the homestead journey for 4 years and I do not consider myself as teach worthy yet, but you explain how to do things as if you know what you’re doing when you just tried it. I know for, it took many failed attempts to learn sourdough and how to make bagels with it. I’ve been making my own bread for a year now and I feel like I have more to learn than I do to offer yet. People can see that. If any of your viewers have been on the journey you have just begun for a number of years or more, they’re not coming here to learn from you, but you share as if they are. If they’re just starting out, they’re going to go channels with people who have far more experience and knowledge. I want to encourage you to find out who you are. You seem to only have one hobby, homemade moms usually have so many hobbies that they’re sharing on their channel, but they’ve experimented it for a while before they began teaching it. You have something to offer, and that is finding the joy in single parenting, but sadly, that’s about all you encourage me in, and by comments of your other videos, other moms feel the same way. If you want to learn how to grow in this area, I would encourage you to watch farmhouse on Boone, our oily house, venison for dinner to name a few. I know you don’t eat red meat, or like the yolk of the egg, but if you really want to learn about nutrition, these foods are actually healthier than you realize. If you want to have something to offer, learn about food first, and then teach. You have a lack of confidence, that if you can bring yourself to learn first, would probably change to confidence. Failure = growth! You seem to play it safe and I’m guessing you don’t admit well to failure. Also, what are your other hobbies. I’m sure you have more than food that you’re interested in. Like sewing, crocheting, candle making, etc? All you seem to show us is healthy to you food and you’re basically a commercial advertiser for every single product that comes your way and it’s probably hurting your channel. Remove all the brands from your channel and focus on who Hayley is and what she has to offer the world.

Well none of this feels like positive feedback as “you intended.” It’s actually incredibly discouraging. I am doing my best & it brings me great joy. Telling me to find other passions or hobbies just makes me feel not good enough which, I struggle with daily. I am not trying to teach homesteading at all…just sharing yummy foods my family has found. I hope you give yourself more grace in life.

I know I’m not the only one who has pointed these things out to you. The proof is in the pudding. Short term pain leads to long term character. I subscribed to your channel a couple of years ago and I think you had around 85k subscribers then. You’ve been posting videos for over 7 years and you’re not even at 90k subscribers. Many people see the potential of good that you could share, I’ve read comments in past videos before I unsubscribed. I know I’m not the only one who sees this and has pointed it out. This is why I said I want to encourage you to find hobbies. If you already struggle in this without us saying anything, wouldn’t you want to seek this? You said you’re not teaching, but you do actually try to teach, I just don’t think you see it that way, hence the fixed mindset, but you even say at the end of the video you hope this video inspired you. That’s actually what teaching is, it’s feeding someone information they didn’t know, or giving them a better way to do it and inspiring them to apply it to their lives. I do give myself grace, that’s why I see failure as a positive and not a negative. If we push ourselves or others towards perfection, there is no grace in that, but allowing failure is grace.
