Notice that he walks away broken if you romanced and choose to try to redeem him. He doesn’t fold his hands behind his back and swagger away, as he does with any other option. Such great detail. I hope we get more female specific animations for our protagonists in DA4 cutscenes. I’m sick of my character hunched over and clearly walking like the male characters.

I feel honestly its the most appropriate response. Specially if you're going too continue the romance the anger can come from betrayal but also worry,sadness,hurt, and love... "I would have had you trust me!!!" She was someone who "impressed him someone who drew his attention from his dreams ( the fade) she saw herself as everything he loved and desired in someone than he just left...youd be upset too ya know? I followed this romance and can't wait too see where it leads

"I would treasure the chance to be wrong once again, my friend." - thats good to know. 1. Solas Wont let you help him. 2. He wants you to protect the inquisition. 3. And he takes the ancor from you, saving your life from it. It's almost like he WANTS you to stop him. Or at least find a way so he doens't have to do what he thinks he must do. This is even mor eobvious in the ending credits, it feels like he's watching you to see if you can come up with something. Seems our precious egg-head is hoping you can once again impress him.

Janic99 I saw other cutscenes, and I really do think he takes the ancor from you. Especially in the cutscenes when he says "take my hand" (usually the non-romanced ones) you see him put it back into his own palm. It gives off a different light then when it was in your hand ( light blue or white it seems like). However, by the end you can see Inqy's arm falling apart. Light is dripping from it, like flesh is litterally melting (ewwww) Peices are actually falling off as he walks away. Even if he did take the ancor and you wont die from it now, you still lost your arm. The mark just destroyed it. I believe when he says- he lured you there to save you- at least for now, he means he knows you'll try to stop him, or fight against him, and THAT will be what kills you. that or the result of him tearing the veil down. Thats why he tells you live well while you can, because he's going to make the world crash down around you and knowing what kind of person you are, you'll be coming for him when that day comes. He even says you're death will cause too much chaos, more usless deaths before they "need" to happen, which he deems is "unessessary."(again in other veriosn of this scene) So I'm pretty sure he did save you, if not temporarily until you two obviously need to clash again. In some way he's counting on you coming after him, like he has no choice so if anyone has a 'chance' at stopping him, it's going ot be you. A non-romanced lavellan says the inquisition will prove to him he doens't need to destroy this world to save the elves; he says " I'll treasure the chance to be being proven wrong, again."

Janic99 Xd Yeah that did seem a bit confusing if he just delayed your death after everything he said. So yeah. Watch other videos of this cutscene and you'll see a better look at how he removes it. It's just in this scene when he's embracing you, you can't see the arm which takes the mark into his palm, it's blocked by your body. Speaking as an animator myself, they may not have bothered putting that effect in since it's blocked from view (why waste special effects that wont be seen), I would suggest using the flycam to examine the other versions of this scene. ^w^ Have fun

Ugh the aggressive options are not aggressive enough! It's been a long while now and I'm still made about him. I love Solas and always will but damn it he's making me so mad XD Y U GOTTA DESTROY THIS WORLD?! YOU NEED TO LET THE PASS GO! So much heartbreak in that line "I would have had you trust me!" Patrick Weekes did an a amazing job with Solas, he is seriously my favourite character in the DA series.

You have to consider how alone he feels, in this playthrough they're both Elves but there's a massive difference only he can see, it would be like a wolf (in this case Dread Wolf) trying to connect with a pomeranian, at the farthest point they're alike but that's it. He's essentially the last of his people, he's doing this to bring back a time of immortal souls-- As it stands people have no connection to the world he loves, a world only he truly understands. Like he said, waking to this world was like waking to a world of Tranquil: he basically lives in a place full of husks, corpses, bodies without souls and connections to the past. Without direct interaction by the fade this world is too stable, only half of what it should be. I sympathize with Solas, I hope there's a way to restore the past without destroying this one, I don't want him to become a monster (one of the Evunaris or worse) but I don't want him to be alone like he is in this world. (He really is a great villain, and his voice actor is phenomenal)

Maybe I'm asking to have my cake and eat it, too -- but I wish the final aggressive romanced choice got a more unique response from Solas. The inky I made for the playthrough I romanced Solas would put aside her personal feelings (or maybe BECAUSE of her feelings) to declare war on Solas -- but I still want to see evidence that there was a romance. It even gets rid of the epilogue where Lavellan has dreams of her lover. Well, I guess Solas was just taking the hint lol. I assume picking that final aggressive option is the same as choosing to break up with him within the game's code or something.

Solas says he trapped the evunaris because they killed Mythal. Eternal punishment is only fitting for such individuals, he says. He says they killed Mythal because they needed/craved power. He needed to stop them because they threatened to destroy the entire world. Solas kills Mythal for power Wants to bring back the Evunaris Threatens to destroy the world... the fuck?

I once called Solas the Kaizer Soze of Dragon Age but Kaizer Soze is an evil motherfucker no matter how good his character was.

***** doesn't mean he didn't mean to kill her. I actually already know Mythal has a plan b. Morrigan has Mythal's power. It's going to be full revealed later on but all the signs point to it. I also am completely aware of the fact that Mythal didn't put up a fight, which means she gave him the power that he wanted and nothing from Mythal comes without a price. This doesn't mean that Solas did not go to the crossroads with the intent of killing her for power. It's clearly spelled out in the dev notes. Solas killed Flemeth.Mythal doesn't need to be in only one body at once. But again, he meant to take her power by killing her because his orb was broke and he had no other way of getting that power.

Tho we aren’t playing as the inquisitor, they could still be involved and will mostly likely be involved, same with Hawke. Trust me, they both could be involved. But drinking from the well of sorrows or not should impact the game, and other choices. But I do think that at least one of the two will be involved, I don’t believe they’d just do another HoF thing where we never see or hear from them again.

I recently finished my 3rd playthrough which i made a female elf mage after my 2nd playthrough went to shit.I'm glad I played with the elf and went through with solas all the way, it takes the game to another level, all the extra dialogue etc. I've played this part of the dlc many times just to see this cutscene and them speaking elven to each other. One of the best playthroughs ive made in a game ever, easily beats my wardens story in origins :D

+ROSA TIFFANY If your archer is friends with Sera, I think she'll be set. After all, the Red Jennys (Jennies?) get you a rad crossbow arm! As for the mages...hm. Well, they technically don't need staves to cast. Maybe they could summon spirit hands or use a one-handed weapon? All they technically need is something with a crystal to guide/enhance their magic. I just KNOW Dagna could whip up something awesome! Honestly, I think the 2H warriors probably have it the worst; at least a sword and shield fighter can probably attach their shield to a prosthetic. But, oh man. I feel your pain. Romancing Solas was absolutely heartbreaking! I never thought I'd be so invested in his and my Lavellan's relationship, but now I'm dying for DA4. I really hope we get to play as the Inquisitor again. Also, much thanks to the video creator for uploading this compilation! It's really interesting to see just how many ways this conversation can go. Thanks for putting all the options together.

So many questions remain: why did the corrupted eluvian in Origins/2 turn people into darkspawn? How heavily will the Razikale and Titan subplots factor into Dragon Age 4? Who will return? Who won't? How prominent will the Inquisitor be if they return, with one arm? How much will the dissolution of the Inquisition actually affect 4? Will whoever who stays behind in the Fade also be freed when Solas tears down the Veil? Will Hawke make an appearance that lasts more than 30 seconds? Will there be a new protagonist? UGH
