How did you know that I had just done a search to see if you'd reviewed this exact piece?? Wow, a few days later, and there it is!! Thank you for noticing how few brunette wigs get reviewed. Everyone does the blondes, and the few brunettes are usually those that are heavily highlighted, so it's impossible to assess the knots in a darker color or to see what those shades look like in real life. It's wonderful to finally see a simple brunette!! I would have loved to have seen some styling options, but I know you're very busy at work and really do appreciate your continuing to put out some content when your schedule is packed!!!

The darker colors are so beautiful on you! I find the longer ones really tangle under by my neck. With a good cap like that I could party it on the side, so that is good. I wish I could wear a middle part but it don't look good on me. It looks great on you though!!!! Absolutely beautiful!!!

Hello Denise, And hello to everyone else. Does anyone have advice on a spouse who isn't supportive of your wig wearing? I mean he's flat out against it. I just got my first two wigs to help with my confidence after battling an illness and while my hair isn't gone it's super thin. I really want to look nice when we start going to our new church (we're moving to another state). Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks so much ❤️

I'm very sorry to hear your husband isn't supportive. I'm wondering why? Is he concerned your attractiveness is a threat? I hope you'll do what makes you feel good about you. I've been married 40 years and my husband, while not perfect, would never tell me what to wear including hair 😉 All the best to you, I hope he comes around. Sherry

Gosh, that is so hard to hear. Without knowing you or your husband (what is your relationship like, how do you communicate with each other, etc) it is so hard to offer advice. With my husband I would sit down with him during a calm moment, preferably when we have done something fun together and are feeling particularly close, and ask him if he would be willing to share with me why he feels that way. I would share my struggle and why I am looking at wigs as a solution. Something similar happened when I wanted to buzz my hair off 3 years ago. I started wearing wigs in September, and about 6 months into it I was so sick of dealing with my bio hair under wigs I told my husband I was thinking of buzzing my hair off. He make a face at me and told me that he was not on board with that. He wasn't mean about it, but it was clear that he was not going to support me in this decision. Since I was just in the beginning stages of thinking about it, I just let it go. I could have just gone ahead with it, but something like this is a big change and I wanted him on board. About 10 months later I was really ready to do it. I sat down with my husband and talked to him about it and shared my struggles and my why. He already knew how hard my hair loss had been on me. He told me that if I really wanted to do it that was fine, but he didn't think he could help me with it. That was fine! At least he was on board. He ended up LOVING my buzzed head and I never looked back. I truly believe that giving him the space he needed on this, and sharing my thoughts and feelings in a non-threatening way (and I also let him know how important his support was to me) was the key to getting him on board. Our husbands are complex, and while they love us, they don't look at the world like we do. In cases like this we have 2 main choices. Choice #1 - We can forge ahead and disregard our husband's feelings, in essence treating him like he really doesn't matter. When we want to do something we will just do it. I see this type of thing build walls in marriages that are hard to tear down. Choice #2 - we can have compassion for our husband and give him the benefit of the doubt that his resistance is rooted in fear and not understanding. We can help him to understand our point of view, and how much we need his support. We can give it time. We can model for him the care and compassion we wish he would show us. That's how I choose to proceed with decisions where we are not on the same page initially... whether it is about my body or not. This hasn't been a popular answer when I've shared it before.... but we all have to find our path in our relationships. Anything that I can do to NOT build a wall, even if it seems my husband is trying his darndest to build one, will always be my first choice. Even if I have to sacrifice to prevent it. HUGS and I will say a prayer for you.

Hello Everyone, Thanks for responding to my question. We're going to talk about it again today. Hopefully it will go well. I'm certainly praying about it. I don't want him to feel uncomfortable but at the same time I feel I need to do this for me. I was very supportive of him shaving his head bald while we were dating 20 years ago, when he started losing his hair. Hopefully he can do that for me. He's very conservative Seventh Day Adventist, so he's got very set ideas on how a Christian woman should look. I'll just see how it goes today. But, it would make my health journey easier if I had one less battle to fight. God Bless You All ❤
