Every time I see this video, Ren's guitar in the last minute absolutely eradicates all memory of the incredible vocals they both delivered in the rest of the video. That guitar grabs me by every single brain cell in my scull. It just SPEAKS to me.

I'm always surprised by how impressed people are by the ability to sing in a high register, naturally or via falsetto, with a little bit of power. All other considerations seem to be ignored. For me personally, Ren's vocals, here and elsewhere, blow Sam's out of the water, yet many rate him as the better singer. For me, he's a one trick pony. He's very good at that trick but that's all he does, over and over. In contrast, Ren has a greater vocal range, can sing in whole variety of styles and tones, has nuance, understands the use of light and shade, can express, genuinely, every emotion under the Sun and has a voice full of character. I'm sure Sam's a lovely guy but he's just another good singer. Ren's on another level entirely and that's before we even get to all his other musical skills, talents and abilities.

Another great reaction. In case you didn't already know, Sam Tompkins is a singer/songwriter from Brighton, UK. He is an incredible artist who recently opened up for Justin Bieber in Norway. Sam has a number of songs, "Bloodline," "Hero," "Follow Suit," “Whole,” and “Not So Grey,” that address some serious issues like family, mental health, suicide, and other struggles. "You Broke My Heart So Gently," "Critical," "You're The Love Of My Life," “Google Luv,” “Ten Feet Apart,” and his cover of Tears For Fears' "Mad World" are beautiful, but his entire catalog is well-worth listening to. I usually prefer the acoustic version of his songs. His latest release, "Time Will Fly," is currently my favorite song of his and one of my favorite songs overall, with "See Me" and "Lose It All" running close behind. His rendition of "How To Save A Life (Cover)" is also stunning and really reveals his soulfulness. Unfortunately, it is way too short, not the full-length version of the original. Sam’s collaborations with Ren are definitely a must. Check out their other busking sessions and music videos. “Walking on the Moon/No Diggity,” “Feeling Good/Trouble So High/Masterblaster (Jammin'),” “Latch,” “Wild Thoughts/Crazy in Love (Live Session),” “Same Old Situation (Live, feat. Ren),” “Improvising Around Stevie Wonder,” “Live in the Streets of Brighton, UK,” “What Went Wrong” Part I&II are all amazing. Their song "Blind Eyed" is a fan favorite, and they recorded several live versions, each unique, and an official music video. Ren and Sam out here looking like they're from the 90's but got teleported to the future with the way they're dressed hahaha I love it! Sam looking like he's Vatos Locos Forever with the only the top button buttoned on his flannel and Ren rocking the Dolphins jersey. Ren lives those old Adidas, Nike and Starter jackets and jersey's we wore in the 90's. Back then even though I'm Long Island and not far from Madison Square Garden I had a Chicago Bulls Starter jacket and I was a KNICKS fan but for some reason we all wore jackets from other states lol Now if Ren breaks out an 8-Ball jacket then it's 100% confirmed he's a time traveler from the past lol What's also awesome about this video and where it is. Across the street in the building that Ren and Sam are facing is the apartment complex they filmed Ren's video "Animal Flow" You'll notice it at the end of the video when Ren walks outdoors you'll see the Church they're in front of.
