Edwin and Walter Hawkins recording of Oh Happy Day was my inspiration at age 13, I'm in my mid 60's now. I didn't know Walter had passed away and never had the privilege to see him in person. He truly is an icon of spiritual blessing that has blessed my soul for years. All God's singers are going home. Will be missed tremendously. No more pain and just to think He's singing in that heavenly choir. My 91 year old father in law says just 2 days ago he was shown that in heaven one person sings 4 part harmony and was the most beautiful sound he's ever heard. Don't think it's much longer before he is going home. Walter has been such a blessing. This choir and song has sent Holy Ghost goose bumps over me, Praise the Lord!
